It's there. Waiting.

Many of us will be seeing our movie in just a few hours, at midnight screenings. Others are skipping work and school to go see it in the early afternoon. Still more are twitching as they realize they still have more or less 24 hours to go. No matter what...we're still waiting.

Just one more day, guys. One more day. That counter on the site tells us that loud and clear. Remember when we were waiting for April 22nd, and it was creeping downward? And then, suddenly, we had almost 300 days to go instead of our previous few? Well, those 300 days are gone, and now the movie is out of the hands of our Big Damn Heroes. It's up to the fans, now. The fans to get people going, the fans to set an example, the fans to do the job they've been doing for years now and spread the word. We have to do this thing, guys. If Firefly means ANYTHING to you at all - and chances are if you're here, it means more than most people would think normal - then you are part of something bigger than I think any of us realize. Browncoats are across the globe now...our numbers are, in all honesty, probably quite higher than we truly think. We belong to something special, something magical. Is it possible to fall in love with a TV show? Well, yes. Browncoats showed the world that. Our passion and our devotion, along with that of the cast and crew, got us do this day. Serenity Eve.

The movie is made. The effects are done, the music is set, the reel is in place. The BDHs have done their job. And now it's just us, here on the raggedy edge. We worked so, so hard to get here...now we have to work even harder. Not everyone will see our preview and think it's worthy of going anytime soon. The Firefly/Serenity 'verse is one that deserves storytelling far beyond 14 episodes and a movie. We got ourselves the latter, we can get ourselves more. We're powerful, people. We just have to work together. We have to HOLD. Joss has told us this, and I think we all know he's absolutely right.

So, yeah. Not nearly as inspirational as many posts I've seen, but I felt like I just had to get in on the pre-September 30th posting spree. Go out Browncoats - get us another movie. Take your friends, family, perfect strangers to see this movie. I know I'll be dragging whomever I can. I'll be seeing you all on Monday, when we find out exactly how the insane, crazy, passionate, funny, devoted, beloved fans of this little Big Damn Movie and even smaller show did. I think we should be in for quite a pleasant surprise.
