Can anyone give me more information on the Serenity Convention? I've never been to a convention ever and am EXTREMELY excited about this one.

Thank you

Check out www.starfury.co.uk for details of the con - at the moment Nathan, Summer, Jewel, Sean & Christina Hendricks are confirmed guests but we're expecting one more. Tickets are still available but I'd suggest you act fast!

(BTW, kudos for making it to the end of the thread - many lesser people would have given up around the 75 post mark. Shows true Browncoat dedication.)

Khimbar, wash your mouth out with soap and water! Us line-dancers be the best thing about conventions! I will hunt you down and convert you! *Mental note: Learn hypnosis. End Mental Note*

Rel: Tux.ux.ux.ux. Yep definite echo.o.o.o

Fray: Convention time...whoop whooop

The folk on the other side of the pond: I am sorry for you, I would offer to cull people for you but I can't afford a flight to your fair land. Plus, many sympathies for your lack of holiday days - move to Holland, my other half gets 48 days a year!

Aureliano: the most lasting impression would be nudity!

InLoveWithMal: What is it you want to know? I can write essays on conventions so you are better off asking specific questions.

Mornin' folks!

Went to see Serenity again last night. My boss liked it. Another of my coverts sent me a text saying it was so good he almost peed his pants. Another now has a kickass-girl-with-axe fetish.

I've done well, I think

So many cool things about our Big Damn Movie... so many little pieces, aspects, dialogue, moments and emotions...

Shiny.

Just need boots and tux measurements. Oh, and a couple of other things coming through the post in a few weeks or so.

NOVEL: I finished it. It provides some interesting (and novel-author-only) insights into some of the characters and situations. Overall, not as good as the movie, though, obviously, heh. And most of the over-referencing ain't that bad, it needed doing, but it did happen maybe a fraction more than was really needed.

I want my soundtrack CD!

Oh, and I've been listening to The Signal again, slowly catching up.

So unless there's more than one 'Heather' that gets interviewed at Dragon*Con.... I've now heard CMS extolling the virtues of Firefly and Browncoats! Woo!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Rel-the Heather in the interview wasn't me. That was some 18 year old girl who couldn't stop saying "like". I'm the Serenity later on. I say that I volunteered at the Southeastern Browncoat fan table and babble on about how great BCs are.

Emma-Don't feel SO bad for me. I had Dragon*Con. I think about 1 convention a year is about all I can handle. Though, I will be insanely jealous and miss you all terribly while you're there.

Mostly stupid meetings. Grr. Argh. I'm working on two distinct projects; today was to be the one day this week I spent on the first of them (thanks to having yesterday off), and yet the bulk of this morning was taken up by meetings related to the second one. Totally shot my planned level of progress in the foot. I'm tempted to take half a day later this week away from project two to catch up, except I dunno whether the program manager would see my point. He's local, while the one for the first project is in D.C. so it's easier for his stuff to get pre-empted.

Gorram program managers and their feelings of entitlement.

On the plus side, project two is much more interesting to work on.
