Freedom is Important because People are Important

Hello all,

Are there any other fans of Rome on HBO? I think it's an absolutely fabulous show that matches Deadwood's level of entertainment, and I was wondering how my fellow Browncoats felt about it.

Also, who is your favorite character? For me, it has to be Pullo.

Thanks in advance for chiming in,

--Anthony

Vorenus for me as well....

BUT....the best quote goes to:

"It's hotter than Vulcan's d^%k."

Vorenus is the man, but Pullo does have quite a bit of coolness to him.

I've been watching Rome as well, and it really is a well-made show -- you can see the BBC influence on it. Pullo's the man, but my money has got to go with Octavian. The scene of the two of them together torturing Vorenus's brother-in-law was excellent and a little disturbing.

One of the bestnew shows this year.

Every scene between Pullo and Lucius is brilliant! They're a total Mal-Jayne combo, it's hi-larious.
That bit this week wehn Pullo is cheering for the baby, and the look Lucius throws him, ouch from the laughing!

"I'll be in my bunk."

"Hotter than Vulcan's *ick", was funny but nothing beats ...

"For that price, she'd better **ck like Helen of Troy with her ass on fire!"

My favorite is Pullo. I make sure that my coffee cup is safely on the side table whenever he's on screen as the likelyhood of accidents is high.

I caught the firest few eps of it on MOVIE CENTRAL (Canada's answer to HBO) and enjoyed them. I'm waiting for the 1st season to show up on DVD. Do a marathon screening of it then.

I'm finding that's my preferred way of watching tv. With all of BUFFY and ANGEL on DVD, instead of wating week by week to watch ep's that are interrupted by commercials, I can just watch an entire season in a marathon viewing and be able to fully enjoy them. It's like picking up a novel and reading it in one go, with the ep's serving as chapters.

C'mon, who's a lit-tle fear demon?
GILES: Don't taunt the fear demon.
XANDER: Why? Can he hurt me?
GILES: No, it's just… tacky.

I think they've been doing Marathon rescreenings this week on HBO... I know that they did it on Monday and again Tuesday. Are they doing it all again on Friday?
