Not that there are plans (that I know of) to rework the infamous Firefly dvd set, but what would you like to see included in it if Fox re-issues a new set?

I would like the set to include everything that is on the current set, plus:

* The "here's how it is..." intros read by Nathan and Ron.

* The FULL blooper reel that is available on the net (if you know where to look).

* All of the lame Fox Firefly ads. They grossly mis-represented Firefly to the public, I know, but they are part of the history of the show.

* More commentaries! (for episodes that still need one and with cast members who have yet to do a track).

* And since we're dreaming here: the rest of season one (or "the back nine" as they say in the biz).

SMAUG

You know... if they put EVERY single frame that was EVER filmed while making the series, which could probably easily amount to dozens of takes for some scenes and hundred of hours worth of footage.. I would probably sit through every single second of it..

Smaug..

Commentaries on all the episodes, especially "Our Mrs. Reynolds", which is swiftly becoming my favorite ep.

I too would watch every second of film they would like to put out there.

Way more of the blooper reel... where exactly can I view that online??!!

And interviews with every cast member about their character and how they felt while doing the series and the movie.

Also ALL of the scenes they filmed with the crew at the table, that is my favorite part of Serenity... the dining area. I love that...

hell.... anything they want to add, I'm up for! it.

VISITINGMYINTENTIONS

- definitely both introductions
-The deleted scene in OMR put back in place (my friends and I have a system where it's sitting ready on one machine, while the episode plays on another, then at the right point, we pause and switch machines)
-Commentary on every single episode
-Translations of the mandarin in each episode
-Full blooper reel.
-The interviews they have on the fox website
-Schematics of Serenity

Hey, while we're at it, why not the river tam sessions? Those are definitely relevant to the show. And so good...

Other than the usual commentary, etc...

I think it should include a Fruity Oaty bar, a plastic rocket, a blue sun tee shirt, a stick of incense, and a knit orange "Jayne" hat.

Y'know a deluxe collectors box with a jayne hat or a blue sun shirt could be awesome. Maybe two editions, Crew Edition with the Jayne hat, characters on the covers and artwork. Then an Alliance Edition in all black, with blue lettering, simplified artwork, and a blue sun t-shirt. Same extra commentaries, tv ads, interviews, full gag reel. I'd pay for one. Maybe both.

If they released two deluxe versions I'd probably buy the one with the t-shirt first and then the second at a later date to feel complete :D

OK,

Since I am an evil marketing person in real life...how about this evil plan...

You make a set dedicated to each major character with that character on the cover art, along with some promotional gifts related to that character.

The Kaylee set would have her photo on the cover, include her interview and her outtakes ONLY. Then you add a poster of her inside (18x24), and then you would get a Kaylee action figure (15") in coveralls and wearing a kimono top. You could also throw in a replica of the "Kaylee's Room" sign seen outside her quarters.

The Jayne set would have his photo on the cover, his outtakes, etc... then a blue sun tee shirt, an orange knit hat, and an action figure complete with plastic gernades.

You get the idea. Maybe the Inara set could include a copy of the kama sutra, and Shepards...well..the new testiment, what else?
Wash's set would have to include plastic dinosaurs and a Hawiian shirt. But what about Mal? Your own Cpt. Tighpants costume?

SEE? I told you I was an evil marketing person.

i think it would be a joy to have the "Done the Impossible" documetary on set. As well as the Firefly Musical -- but that's just me; however, i think i can safely say that we'll all enjoy the entire crew doing the "Hero of Canton."
