I dunno about iTunes and iPods, but how I get the podcasts on my Dell DJ, is when you download a podcast on whatever podcatcher program you have (I use iPodder), it saves the podcast into a file. From there, you can move it into your player.

Sorry if it doesn't make sense. I've been told I have "explaining issues"

My ipod that I spent £250 on a few months ago just died. One day it just would play songs...
Then it wouldn't turn on...

I'm not impressed...

:(

As for playing the pod cast, is it in mp3 format?
you should just be able to add it to the iTunes library, plug in the iPod and let it download...

Not much randomness occuring today then? Anyone any good at pub quizzes? I'm rubbish but still I go.

BTW SerenityPunk apparently has Nathan Fillion tied up and naked at her house! I'm just off there now to engage him in "conversation".

When I was deciding what mp3 player to have, it came down to a choice between an iPod and a Creative Zen Xtra. In the end, I settled on the Zen because it cost £100 less for the same storage and was more PC friendly. Meant not tying myself to Apple and their silly AAC format.

I use the third-party program Notmad by Red Chair Software to upload and manage my mp3 files, because the software Creative provided is awful, as Creative software often is.

At the end of the day, with the iPod's infamously bad batteries (a lie Apple has not really been brought to book on) and the fact that they degrade the quality of any mp3s they play, my choice was a good one.

Shiny.

The 'net at work is pitifully slow today. It's bad enough it takes forever for a FFF page to load, but stuff I'm trying to download for actual work is timing out. Grr, arrgh.

We had an impressive thunderstorm come through last night. I was out driving to pick up my son from work (didn't want him walking home in the storm) and passed a park just in time to see a real light show from arcing power lines going down. Power was out for a chunk of town for the rest of the night and, though my house kept power, cable (and hence internet) was out--still is. Passed by the spot in the daylight this morning to see half of a very large tree down, which took the power and cable lines with it, burying some poor sod's parked car and a goodly part of the street as well.

I wonder if there's any relation to the work 'net being so slow? Probably not.

I remember it snowed on my birthday once, when I was living in Maryland. I did not think it a fun thing.

PR-I can't believe Soul's gone, either. He was my own true love (on the TREE). I will be very upset when I learn what happened. (That sentence made sense to no one but you, PR.) I'm going to have to be a Zoe now, aren't I?

Yup, jet lag has now passed me by but instead I'm suffering from work lag and dog lag where I have to do the work of two people and look after two dogs, one of whom is still reluctant to embrace the idea of peeing outside the house. Aw, even your kittie remembered?

Last present I got, was killed in the house.

Here's the story:

I was really tired, long day at school and I took a nap and I forgot I left the door open to let in my outdoor kitty. Well.. During the course when I was asleep my kitties chased a bird inside the house (all over the house) and finally killed it next to the front door. So I wake up and there feather's EVERYWHERE. Even on me (ew) so I track the feathers and find a mangled body at the door... You should've heard the shrill pitch of my scream. I bet the neighbor's thought I was being Murdered.
