New Firefly Fan--please be gentle!

Hi Everyone!

I must confess, I'm a brand spankin' new Browncoat. I'd only heard of Firefly off and on from random people on the internet, and didn't think much about it until Serenity came out. Well, I went to see it with a couple friends and we talked about nothing else for days afterwards! Now we each own our own copies of Firefly and are rabidly watching, re-watching, discussing, quoting and all-out obsessing over this 'verse! I came online to do some more reading about it, and I'm so glad to have found this site, and this community of people who seem to be as obsessed with this amazing show as much as I am! So hello everyone! *waves* I hope y'all will welcome yet another newbie.

Welcome! I'm fairly new here too, and I can tell you... you are gonna love it here!

I got exposed to Firefly on the SciFi channel, fell in love immediately and after looking online for more info found this place too. I'm obsessed with the show, the wonderful movie and this site.

There's another thread about Firefly/Serenity being like a virus, only a good one. I agree.

Once you visit the 'verse, you can never leave.

I own a tv, but don't have cable and can't get the regular channels, so I don't watch television at all. I'm so glad it's on dvd though!

Apparently my dad has seen a couple episodes on SciFi and isn't convinced, so when I visit my family for Christmas I'm going to bring the dvds and try to convert him.

I love my Captain :)
