Oooh, secret packages....!

No offence to the lovely Christina but shall have to give her a miss. But shall get the Nathan/Christina and Group shot anyway so she doesn't feel to left out. I'm wondering whether I need a Summer one as I've already got the (free) one from Collectormania, and as I'll also get her in the Sean/Summer & Group shot too. Hmmmm...

A big thank you to Loaded247.com for finally crediting my account with £35.99 today! Couldn't have come at a better time.

My photos...

I'm getting Summer, Sean, Jewel, Nathan, Summer/Sean, Jewel/Sean, Summer again, and maybe the group pic. It depends on my cash flow problem.

* w/ Summer.
* w/ Nathan.
* w/ Christina.
* w/ Nathan and Christina.
* w/ Jewel.

It's hard to choose. They're all great.

Still sulking slightly over my non-ability to get away until 6 from home. Depending on the M25, I'll be there at some point between 7.30 and 12.30.

Unless I try subscribing to the theory that the shortest distance between two points is a straight line. Hmmm, driving through London at Friday rush hour. It can't fail!

Ooh, nearly forgot. I'm looking for around 10-15 people to participate in my little fan project - I'm writing a spoof of Serenity and would love to have a proper read through with you guys. Any volunteers, let me know. I might even furnish alcohol as bribery, you never know.

I'd say "either the tall tree-like fella or the chap in the Browncoat" but, considering where we are, that's like saying "look for the girl in the Firefly T-shirt"....

In other words, yes, the young tree-ish chap Matt is our banner! Rally to him!

In other news... I may have another way to get some boots. Which would be good.

Okay, I need to get up in less than 3 hours and I'm still packing!! To my defence, this is the first convention ever, and I've got no clue how everyone is gonna be dressed (though T-shirt sounds like the main stream), or how hot it gets in the hotel. So I'm packing like sweaters, tanktops, coat, jacket, party clothes, shoes that match with those, etc....

I need to remind myself that I won't die if I forget something as long as I have the badge and passport....

Do British folks use credit cards like Americans? I was expecting to use credit cards for lots of stuff, but should I carry lots of money too? I have some pounds and dollars, but not too much. I'm not used to carry actual money around! lol

And now it hit me... I wonder if US check is acceptable in England....

Call me "Spontaneous", aka "a girl who can't plan things ahead" lol

Well, I will survive.... (or I'll wake up a bit earlier for an ATM trip)

Thanks for all the tips Fray!

We aren't so backwards that we don't use credit cards, thank you Unless it's the way you use them that's different... I always use mine to break into cars and houses, and to spread butter on toast. How do you use yours?

Yes, cash is the way at these cons. I don't think there was a credit card reader thing anywhere at the last one, and I doubt they'd accept UK cheques, let alone US ones!

It's best to have (hopefully) all you'll need from day one, else you'll be running around like Matt or taking a potentially one way journey to Terminal 4 like I did to find a cash machine... if your US cards will even work in them!

I'm arriving at 6:35 am on Thursday. After getting luggage and going through customs/immigration, it'll be 8 or 9 am getting out of there. I was hoping to do some sight seeing in London after dropping luggage at the hotel, but I may end up trying to find a wi-fied place to work a bit. :(

As for money, I think I have enough to get by the convention. As long as I can use my card for my drinks at a bar, I'm all good

Relfexive, I had no intentions to offend anyone, just so you know. Like in Japan, we don't use credit cards as much, and I think that's perfectly fine too, so I was just curious. And yes, I do use mine to spread butter on toast too

It's 5:00 am... I may see sunrise...

Yes, as I was telling someone the other day, you make a lot of sacrifices in the name of comedy. In my case, it's usually blood, teeth, dignity...

Yeah, I wasn't really being offended I guess people and the way and frequency with which they use their credit cards varies all over the world. I'm glad the butter-spreading thing is universal, though

*Takes a deep breath*

Everything's been a little crazy this week. I'm like that white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland, (without the watch).

I finally got a taxi booked to the hotel yesterday. Hopefully get there around 9am on Friday.

If anyone spots an over tired, 'crazy, Scottish paparazzi Browncoat' wandering around the hotel, it'll probably be me...

Seriously though, I'm looking forward to meeting everyone.

I was just taking a look at those photos... some very nice ones there.

And it reminded me why I stay away from the Starfury board: I still can't stand those huuuuuuge signatures! Pictures upon pictures upon pictures! All bigger than the messages above them!

I know I can turn them off... but I shouldn't have to, there should be some control over the ridiculous size of the damn things.
