Free downloads of copyrighted materials, in my opinion, are simply NOT COOL.
The DVDs are coming very soon. Just hold on a bit longer. :)

Well, the topic has been broached before, so you might get a flurry of different opinions.

In my opinion, if you're buying the DVD )and UMD), then go for it.

I downloaded it as soon as it left my town - (and yes, I did go see it in the theatre again when it came back to our bargain theatre) though the copy I got either has sound but no picture, or picture with no sound, depending on the program I use to view it.

At this point, I'm content to wait for the 20th. With all I have to get done between now and then, I'm sure it'll pass in a blink.

NO , you filthy pirate!

Just kidding(I'm descended from pirates so I have a certain affinity for them)

I have similar feelings to Storymark, though. If you are going to buy the DVD, I guess its ok. Better if you already own it.

But if you are just going to aquire and in no way purchase it..well, that's low.

In my mind anyways.

I agree with that, especially since the 20th is only a few weeks away.

'Course nobody listens to me anyways.

Here's an interesting prespective to all you anti-pirates...

I never watched Firefly or Serenity before I viewed the Telecine of Serenity (pirated DVD which I recieved from the internet ;))...I watched the downloaded copy and became hooked...Bought the DVDs (Both Serenity and the Firefly boxset, all the comics and the Visual Companion which arrives today)...I also went to see it in theaters...so who is to say that downloading copyright material really hurts the industry? Had I not downloaded and viewed Serenity and the Firefly episodes, I would have never been introduced to such a great story and group of people...

I don't download stuff myself but I've met a couple of people who discovered Firefly by downloading it and then bought the DVDs. If you've already pre-ordered Serenity on DVD then I can see nothing morally wrong in downloading it.
