And perhaps Serenity and Firefly were a big part of all that....

The malls may not be making the money they had hoped to this holiday season.

But it seems shoppers had no problem hitting the Internet from one of the world's largest retailers.

Amazon.com made out quite well this year. Company officials said they sold a record 108 million items worldwide since Thanksgiving.

Among the top sellers were Apple ipods and other electronics.

Final sale figures are expected soon.

Oh, and play Cantr II at www.cantr.net.

Saddness...today Serenity fell #2 to "Wedding Crashers"...I sure hope it dont take to long for serenity and firefly to pass it up :-D.

Afterall Wedding Crashers had a big fanbase...but not a cult like fanbase...who on earth would buy more than 1 copy of a movie? Oh yeah...we do..:-P

The fact that I completely despised that movie only makes that news worse.

I think what makes it worse is that it didn't fall to Wedding Crashers, it fell to Wedding Crashers Uncorked. It fell to a version of Wedding Crashers meaning that part of the Wedding Crasher's sales is beating all of Serenity's.

I think that you guys should not be to worried about this. Serenity was not going to stay #1 forever. It had a good week. Plus, Wedding Crashers made like 200+ million. It was one of the summer's biggest blockbusters. Serenity had to fall eventually. I am glad it was to a hit and not a dud.

Who said anything about worried? Pissed off is what I am. Just like I was pissed off when I realized that Survivor will be the TV cornerstone of my generation.

Actually it didn't. Serenity widescreen edition is top of the chart. There's a fullscreen edition on sale too. So a version of one movie is beating a version of Serenity. No biggie.

Not at Amazon.com, which is what I thought we were talking about.

I just meant in the top ten. My point was that there are two version of both films (however after just checking there are actually several more versions of wedding crashers. Original widescreen, original fullscreen, uncorked widescreen, uncorked fullscreen....)

And the premiere is closer...
