Normally, I like the guy, he's very funny and warm and seems to know what he's on about when reviewing films, but after watching the Film 2005 - Film Of The Year show I was very disappointed in him.

Again, it may just be me but did anyone else think that he skipped over talking about Serenity or Sere-nity as Joss called it, and started talking about Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge Of The Sith?

He was unsure of final box office figures and seemed relunctant to discuss it with Steve and Neil. I think they discussed Team America more!! I found this rather upsetting, especially as I'd stayed up to watch it, painfully sitting through more repeats of Two Pints...

Anyone else agree?

Well Jonathan Ross isn't a Browncoat, however he gave a great review earlier in the year for Serenity on Film 2005.

For those of you who are not true Anglophiles, Jonathan Ross is a prolific British Comedian, Film Critic, DJ, and chatshow host.

I did ask Nathan Fillion when he next did a tour on the release of a movie in the UK (for Serenity 2, but Slither would be great too) that he should go on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross. He said "Consider it done!". Must point out he had no idea who Jonathan Ross was, but I still believed him, strange that, then again he is the Captain.

I think he didn't talk about it as much because the two guys he had with him hadn't seen it. Still annoys though.

They should have had proper film critics to discuss them. They would at least have seen lots of films during the year.

Still, they were better than all those movie stars who were so up their own arses, they could hardly remember the name of another film, let alone give their favourite.

(Unless it's some sort of contractual "Can't possibly mention anything I'm not promoting at the moment" thing.)

And Neil Marshall did "Dog Soldiers" so I can forgive him.

Hey, we got to number one! That has to say something.

Remember, it was only a half hour show, when a review of the year could fill an hour at least. If I have to be dissapointed in Jonathon Ross with anything it was him panning Narnia. He had nothing good to say about the film, but which I enjoyed immensly. Usually I agree with him, but not that time.

Yup the No 1 slot sure does give a warm glow.

I was getting quite nervous as the films slipped by , there were some good films in the list and many that had way more budget , marketing and general mass appeal than our Serenity. Knowing the usual voting habits of Jo Public I was staring to think we hadn't made the top ten.

I think ol Woss was a bit pleasantly surprised too. A resounding win for good intelligent movie making.

The reason for the quick brush over was mainly that his guests hadn't seen the film and here in lies the much discussed problem. It just wasn't marketed well enough and wasn't seen by enough people who most likely would have loved it just like us.

Lets bask in the glory and hope that it signals further victories ahead. Well done everyone.

Dear Buddha, don't tell me he's the UK version of Ryan Seacrest! I attended the same HS as Ryan (years before ) and am amazed ...well, I'll just leave it at that. I'm in a good mood, and don't want to spoil it.

I like Jonathan Ross. Sometimes his movie knowledge can be a bit suspect and sounds like he hasn't done his research. However there are alot of films out there to research.

I think that was the case that Ross was as surprised as everyone else. I was at my PC watching it and did not even expect Serenity to be in the top 10. SO I was wondering 'hmmmmm what can be No 1???' and when he announced Serenity I was absolutely stunned. The fact that it didn't do that well in the box office made me surprised.

Ross more than likely didn't talk about it to Neil Marshall (Dog Soldiers is a cool film)and Steve Pemberton because it looked obvious they didn't know anything about Serenity. Ross did love Serenity and he loves Sci-Fi. He's just as surprised as we are at Serenity being No 1. Don't be too hard on him.

Don't know who Ryan Seacrest is but Jonathan Ross is a truly funny, truly witty man, and a truly intelligent man. There is no one comparable in the states!! Not even Letterman. I was so upset that none of the cast appeared on 'Friday Night with Jonathon Ross.' Lets hope they get on it if there is a sequel. Would truly be a major advertising boost.

On a side note, I thought Jonathon and Sharon Osbourne made the greatest team on the Great Big British Quiz of the Year. How funny were all of them? Especially Jimmy Carr. Man is so dry with his humour! :)

Ryan Seacrest WISHES he were Jonathan Ross. I've seen bits of his show on the internet (because they were from interviews wtih my favorite male lesbian, Eddie Izzard) and the guy was very, very good. If anything, Ross is a cross between Leno and Jon Stewart (of "The Daily Show").

AHHHH there you go!! Jon Stewart! Now there is an American who is comparable to Ross. Though I love Leno he just doesn't have the wit to compete with Ross! :)
