What does everyone think Shepards hiding? How does he know so much about the inner workings of the Alliance, and his I.D. card that immediately gave him medical attention. I think he was an operative. He knew quite a bit about it, plus all his knowledge and skill when things go down. I wish he and Wash didnt die, but it made the movie much more realistic.

As much as I'd love for him to have been an operative, I have a feeling he was an alliance officer in the past. Perhaps even involved in Serenity Valley. Jubal Early seemed to know who he was or at least about his past somewhat leading me to believe that his past wasn't necessarily classified, but the crew just didn't have access to it.

Edit: whoho :) Well, nah i dont think so. Just wishful thinking i presume. Some kind of connection to the alliance though, sure.
