NEVERED

listening, listening.

it's odd: when i tried this about a week ago, it sounded as if it were coming through a fishtank: sorta blurpy (best work i can think of to describe it)

must have been my connection, though, because it's fine now.

The tricky part is that I am off the grid. No landline. Pure satellite/wifi signals! I am glad you have a clear pipe now! There was quite a learning curve on this end too, beleive me! Thrilled you arfe listening! Thank you and Bless the signal!

I admit that i am unfamilar with Live365's stuff, but can you put in programming?
Take for instance, here are some random (perhaps stupid) ideas.
radio shows:
Commentary on the episodes (they have director's commentary, or actors commentary, how about fan commentary?)
Browncoat news (have a news program with announcements of firefly fan stuff around the world.)
or something like that? more than just music to firefly.
hell, even offer to do radio dramatization of fanficts.

Wash: Yeah, but psychic? That sounds like science fiction.
Zoë: You live on a spaceship, dear.
Wash: So?

I am open to all your suggestions except official commentary and news. There are already two fine podcasts out there taking care of "info" they are
THE SIGNAL and FIREFLY TALK

Fan radio drama? fanfics ? and fan commentary? Bring it on!
Just get it to me in Mp3 format! otherwise I am filling a need for 'verse music...it's my passion!

Bless the Signal!

I'm mostly listening directly through winamp. Not sure if you can still track me as a listener then, but i'm still on :)

Your station rocks!

Thank you! You know...I didn't think about winamp listeners not being listed... If that is the case I may have more listers than I think. and I DO push
the direct winamp link, just for the sanity of the listener...no commercials...frees up the browser...etc etc

Bless the signal!

how many listeners DO you get?

as far as other things (besides music and audio clips) to attract people, how well known is this with the actual cast?

perhaps you could get a telephone interview with one of them for a few minuted and play the recording one afternoon.

I don't think the cast knows our little radio station exists yet. Beleive it or not, Browncoat Radio is less than three weeks old. We launched Christmas day. Twas a gift from my wife...live365 account and expensive
broadcasting software. If that ain't love...

We average 6-8 listeners during the day. Die hards
stay through the night...maybe 2 listeners in the wee hours. I have seen a high of 19 listeners to 0 listeners during the reaver madness special! (too scary)

Again....interviews I leave to the two podcasts we have grown to love. FIREFLY TALK and THE SIGNAL

My dream though would be to have soundbites from the cast. like: "Hi! this is Summer Glau and you are listening to Browncoat Radio!"

Just a dream.....

Well, [Jayne's Jams] is all day and tomorrow is [Wash Day] again 12 or more hours long. What I could do for the rest is re-run them the next day in the afternoon. Would that be good for you and all others
across the pond?

KBACHELDER

I mentioned the station on the news segment on last weeks 'Firefly Talk' podcast. 'The Signal' is going back into regular production in early February so I'll see if I can get you a mention over there as well. If you have any content changes or other 'newsworthy' items let me know and I'll see if we can get you mentioned again.
