First there was The Tick, then there was Firefly, and now Ben Edlund has migrated with Gina Torres over to Angel. According to a post at The Bronze Beta, Edlund penned Angel 4.20. ( http://www.cise.ufl.edu/~hsiao/media/tv/buffy/bronze/20030326.html )

He was also listed as a producer on last night's Angel... in case no one else caught that.

I actually had a friend who watched Firefly exclusively because he had heard Ben Edlund was writing for it. I'm glad to see him sticking around in the Jossverse (although clearly wish he was still doing his original job).

Can you imagine what it's like to hang out in a room with Joss Whedon and Ben Edlund? My head starts to explode at the very thought.

I did notice, actually. As always, it's good to hear that Joss is giving the FF refugees work. Now if only Jane Espenson would migrate over to Angel when BtVS ends instead of The Gilmore Girls, my life would be complete.

Gilmore Girls is actually a damn fine show. It's funny, the characters are interesting and the show is also good at mining the occasional emotional depth.

There may be no kicking of vampire butt or super long story arcs in it, but the writing and characterizations in GG are closer to the high quality of a Whedon show than any other program on TV right now.

If Jane Espenson won't be doing Buffy, Angel or Firefly next season... I'm glad she's hooking up with a quality show like GG.

I'd be more offended if Espenson went over to Smallville which is an obvious BTVS rip-off using DC comics characters.

And I'm happy Ben Edlund is staying involved in the Whedon-verse! Looking forward to the first Edlund-penned episode of Angel.

jane espenson is moving to gilmore girls!!! omigod, if i could do back flips i'd be doing back flips right now.

i adore gilmore girls! amy sherman-palladino is totally one of my heros. they so could use jane. her forte's always been her dialog and it totally has the right flow for gilmore girls. omigod! this is way bigger news for me than edlund writing for angel. now i have something else to look for. 'cause i'm gilmore girls spoiled, if it's not an amy ep, it's just plain not good enough. daniel's basically a good writer, but he can't handle the voices of the girls. i spend his episodes just waiting for lane to show up so i can see him briefly go nuts...

and i'm officially babbling about things people are not so much wanting to hear.

suffice it to say: YAY!
