Mild curiosity bit, how old are you?

Anyway, you're new here, so there are a couple of things you've got to know:

Welcome here, we're weird.

If you want more you need to keep doing what you've done, get more people interested, good work, keep it up.

Ok here's the really important part, we've all come here for different reasons but we are here now, we are together, one thing brought us all together and in spite of all of our differences, and more to the point because of them, we are a family.

Welcome home.

--

I see that you've been here for a bit, I'll feel really silly if I already welcomed you, but I don't remember doing it and I'd hate to leave you unwelcome for fear of silliness.

I hear much of this rotten tomatoes place, do you know how many people go there?

Episode III did beat out Serenity. Serenity came in 13 place in best reviewed movies of 2005 and in 3rd place (Ep. III was 2nd and Harry Potter 1st) in the Sci-Fi and Fantasy Genre.

Oh, and play Cantr II at www.cantr.net.

It deserved to be beaten by any movie, us beating it makes it twice good.

I am sorry to hear this. That piece didn't deserve to beat our movie.

Hell, with the difference in production costs and advertising it's amazing Serenity came in right next to SW III. I mean, how much more advertising is it possible for Star Wars to get? Serenity and Firefly both had pathetic advertising. I think SW III probably spent as much money on advertising as it cost to MAKE Serenity. Our little 'verse kicks all kinds of pigu. Just sayin' is all.

(Yup, just got done watching more Firefly)

Watching some now, felt like I might be watching Serenity too much, so I'm watching the episode Serenity as I type.

Which reminds me, why have I been watching Serenity so much? I was just given the widescreen version (actually it was a trade, someone gave me widescreen because they knew I wanted it and asked only for my fullscreen in exchange.)

Good to know the huddled masses do have taste.

(I love the term, "Huddled masses," I'd use it all the time if I could.)

As for being great to the new guys, forget you're a new guy. (As soon as you're done being welcomed that is.) It doesn't matter how long you've been here, you're here now and that's what matters.

That's one of the things that makes me proud to be one of us.

I need to pay more attention to people, I didn't know Snap was a girl. (In fact I don't know most people's genders, maybe I should start a "Are you Male or Female" thread.)

Well in that case ...

She's my kind of girl too.

Well, ahem, actually, I just used my psychic powers to take a bold guess. :)

/me points, and gives christhecynic the priceless River-to-Zoe-in-bar "Hey, I'm the psychic here!" look. :)

If, btw, I'm wrong about this, then you'd best shoot me now... Or we could talk more. :)

(/me, embarrassed, desperately seeking for a graceful way out, finding at the rim of his sanity that resorting to humor is probably going to be the only thing preventing snap from sowing my skin into his clothes):

Well.. darn.. erm.. Snap's a girl's name! :)

Why does it matter? While we may need different sizes, I would imagine that the brown coats (apparel), themselves, are gender neutral -- particularly as they're electronic figments of our imaginations, anyhow.

You mean like "Snap, Crackle and Pop"?!?? Aren't they guys? Strange, hobbit-looking guys, but guys, nonetheless.

Sorry, but massive gender confusion is just too amusing to let go. You know, the experts predicted this would happen forty years ago when all of that feminist indoctrination started. Seems that, for once, they were right.

Okay, do we have to start identifying ourselves, or just let the amusing, gender confusion continue unabaited?

Uh... and just for the record, no guy is my kind of girl.

Ahem...

Seriously.

hehe I got the name from when I played Everquest. I was making a new character and needed a name in a hurry and wanted something short. It was for a gnome so seemed appropriate...

Well pronouns can be useful.

Also:

Actually you can buy one, they look really nice, cost a lot too. But a good leather coat might be worth it even if it weren't a browncoat brown coat.

I think they had to go to a jeweler to get the buckles made. You can tell that whoever was running the show put a lot of care into making a good recreation.

I certainly can't afford one.

On the other hand at least I get to look at Serenity, and she's good looking too. Though in a different way.
