The sequel to Serenity should include our BDHs running into Wash's twin brother named Marcus Washburn, who turns out to be a rough, badguy nicknamed "The Hatchet" because of some atrocity he commited in the Alliance/Independence war. He's now working as a bounty hunter for the Alliance.

There should be a scene near the end where Mal is down, River is lost somewhere, Kaylee and Inara are tied up, and Simon is nowhere to be found. Zoe and Marcus Washburn, both experienced fighters and tough to the core, have to fight it out. The problem for Zoe is that Marcus looks exactly like her dead husband...

BTW: Marcus Washburn fought on the side of the Alliance and he hates ex-independance soldiers with a passion to the point where he guts them whenever he can.

Hey, pretty good. I'm sure Alan Tudyk would relish the chance to get in some strange role like that, too. There should also be some point where he's winning but finds out Zoe is his brother's wife and these were his friends and has some kind of hesitation or moral crisis. That would be good.

QUIXOTIC

You'll have to convince Joss. Hasn't he specifically denied that he'd use the twin route in interviews?

I'm still hoping that Wash and Book will be returning as figments of River's imagination.

Yeah, and if wishes were horses we'd all be eating steak.

How about a CLONE WASH! No not where clones clean your spaceship, or bathing a Wash clone (simmer down ladies). The BDHs break into a top-secret Alliance installation and find...hundreds of bloodthirsty, Reaver-Washes! The Alliance created them in order to destroy all who won't submit to their totalitarian rule. There would be a cool scene where they're gunning down hundreds of drooling, wisecracking Washes.

"Oh my god, oh my god we're all gonna die?"

How devilishly clever of you. I like it. Instead of "Wash" we have "Hatch" Now you got me thinkin' about how to get Book back into the story line other than flashbacks etc.

I think that idea would BE PERFECT for an episode of the TV show or if we got another Dark Horse comic mini seris. But since that stroy would be immpossiable for people who didn't see firefly/Serenity to understand(give a %^& about). It would be wrong to do in a movie.

When you move a work from one medium to another you have to make sure people who are not familiar with it can appericiate it.

An since not a lot of nonbrowncoats saw Serenity a sequel is gonna have to have a story that can hook movie goers that are that versed in the 'verse.

I know excattly how that episode should end.

Prolouge- Its the day after the film (and Wash/Zoes aniversy for good messure). And with Wash and Book dead. Malcolm starts to consider hiring some more help. He wants Zoe to help him on his search but for some reason she's really sick. Mal thinks its because Wash died but Kaylee thinks its obviously "something else" and has Simon check her out.

So let's imagine that latter in the ep Niska hires Wash's brother to kill Zoe ( Revenge for War Stories) they fight until they both have eachother at gunpoint ,but Zoe cannot bare to shoot him cuz he looks so much like wash. And she's miserable/depressed/suicidal over Washes death anyway.

Zoe: No, I can't do it.

then right when Wash's twin is about to blow her away Malcolm shows up.

Mal: I will.

BANG! Then we see him fall into something really nasty.

Then theres an epilouge were Mal goes to check on Zoe and she explains that the stress form the last few days has caused her to loose Wash's child(remember they had a discussion about having a baby in 'heart of gold') and that she will be leaving serenity.

The twin idea is cool, but only if his nickname isn't "Dry".

I like a baby Wash, or "Rinse" idea, but I don't like the idea of several episodes involving Zoe sitting in the corner crying and eating funnel cake and Ben & Jerry's.

"The people who made the show, and the people who saw the show, which is roughly the same number of people, fell in love with it, a little bit too much to let it go, too much to lay down arms when when the battle looked pretty much lost. In Hollywood, people like that are called unrealistic, quixotic, obsessive... In my world, they're called Browncoats."

I must agree. It seems pretty cliched. It seems like too many shows have already "been there, done that".

However, I do love it when a show gets your creative juices flowing. Good story lines probably start out somewhat weak until they get fleshed out more.

I gotta be honest with you, this is way too much the 'evil twin' deal. While I think Joss and our favorite actors/actresses are good enough to even make cliches look good (the way some actors can make even lousy lines sound good), I doubt that 'Wash' would come back in this fashion... Regardless, this has generated some good ideas, and that much I like {^^}.

...have you been reading the Serenity RPG book?

They describe a scene like this:

Quote:

Jamie Chambers wrote:
"...Zoe, you see that husband of yours?"
"Yes, sir," said Zoe, pointing. "He's over there by the bar."
"No, he's not," said Inara. "He's by the cage watching the dancer."
"You've both gone gorram blind," said Mal impatiently. "He's sitting at that table--"
"I think I should know my own husband, sir," Zoe began. She stopped, blinked.
"Wo bu shin wo dah yan jing!" Inara exclaimed. She stared into the room. "Don't make ourselves conspicuous, you said..."
"I'm gonna have to kill him," said Mal. He put out his hand to collar the Wash that was sitting at the table. His hand passed right through Wash's shirt, came back with nothing. "Soon as I figure out which one he is."
For there were Washes everywhere. Wash was leaning against the bar. Wash was dancing. Wash was telling a bawdy joke. Wash was strolling across the floor. Wash was perusing the menu.
Then Wash--the real Wash--was right in front of them, grinning like a pink Cheshire pussycat. "Isn't it great, honey?" he asked Zoe. He waved his hand at himself. "You always said you wanted more of me to love! Well, now you have twenty! They're holograms! Half the people in this place are holograms! You see, they have this machine and you go behind the curtain and for only one credit--"
"I have dibs on the killing him, sir," said Zoe.

I recommend the book, highly, if you haven't gotten it yet. Even if you don't mean to actually play the game. KF

Look in my eyes, Lord, and my sins will play out on them as on a screen. Read them all.
Forgive what you can and send me on my path. I will walk on until you bid me rest.

LALARA

I like your idea of bringing back Alan Tudyk somehow and I like the idea of him being diametrically opposite to Wash but another twin brother ...ugh! They crammed so much of that down our throats on Star Trek.
With what they can do with movie makeup, maybe Alan could play another member of Wash's family...like his Dad or ...his sister.
What do you think?
