I became a fan of Firefly when I saw the movie Serenity.
I immediately went out and bought the dvd of the series.
I watched every single episode in a week.....except the last one.

I loved it so much but I knew the chances of another movie or a revival of the show were slim.

So I used all of my willpower and held out from watching the last show. I wanted to kind of "savor" it. Does that make sense?

Well, after months of staring at the Firefly box EVERY weekend (picking it up and putting it down) I decided I am going to watch it this Friday.

I will sit down with a glass of wine and recline my big movie chair I got as a birthday present.

After that....I'll probably say aloud "F**k You Fox."

******Without spoiling the story for me!****** can anyone tell me if the last show leaves any plotlines open? That would suck.

Wow, you've done really well to have held out as long as you have. I watched right thru like a mad woman. Couldn't any more help myself than a person coming out of the desert and needing a drink.

Won't spoil it for you, you will just have to see when you get done. But do please come back here and post and tell us what you think.

Have you seen Serenity yet?

Oh, and no it's not pathetic, we are all caught up with this show and I think it's safe to say we all fell in love with it.

Only on the weekend? *HOW* did you get through the
week? Advice would be welcome.

Pathetic? No way. I'd call it "noble as a grape". You've got a stronger will than I; I watched the whole series in two days. And then watched it AGAIN over the next three or four days.

Look forward to hearing from you after you watch the last episode. It's a treasure.

I heard about a series from a friend and camt to his place to watch it. We saw 4 episodes and then he told me that the show was cancelled. :/ It was really depressing for a while so I had the same feeling - I wanted all the other episodes to last as much as they could.
I think I will watch them again in a month or two, but with some friends. i noticed the feeling is better when you watch them with someone who hasn't seen or heard anything about FF before.
Look on their faces when they see couple of episodes is a reward in itself

LOL, I am so glad I'm not the only one who did this. I've only been a fan since August when SciFi started to re-air the episodes. I had heard about the upcoming Serenity movie(which looked interesting) and knew it was based off Firefly, so I wanted to see the show. i fell in love with it on SciFi and bought the DVDs. That was August, and as of today I still have not watched Objects In Space. I know it sounds pathetic, but by not watching it, if feels sort of good knowing that there is more out there that I haven't experienced yet. In a way it keeps it alive. But, just like you, I intend to watch it this weekend. I'm in college and I have a 4-day weekend coming up. I plan on driving back home and watching the BDM as well as a few of the episodes and finally, Objects In Space. I've been holding off on watching it, but over Christmas break, I got my 17 year old sister addicted to the series, and she's dying to see the last episode. I keep telling her we'll watch it, and this weekend we finally will. I'm not sure when, but sometime this weekend. So no, you're not alone.

Yes indeedy! Come to think of it, that's probably why the show gathers so many new recruits so fast. We are all trying to re-live the experience of watching it for the first time by sharing it with others! I feel sorry for the poor souls who will be near the end of this phenomenon, when it's popularity has spread to every corner. They won't have anybody to show it to! But then maybe there will be news of a sequel by then. ;)

Ahhh allow me to reminece. My good friend Kiefer got me into Firefly. First she stared by saying, "You have to watch this," and then popping the DVD in. I sat there and watched the whole first disk, without a single comment. Which is trully something, especialy when I'm with my friends. I stayed at her house into the wee hours insisting that I had to watch just one more episode before I could go home.

After that every spare moment (which wasn't a lot) was spent watching Firefly, utill we went to Santa Cruz, intending to watch the last disk while we were there. But it turned out this wasn't a possibility because she forgot to bring the remote to the DVD player and we couldn't select anything. We ended up watching Farscape, which...well...wasn't nearly fullfilling, after the anticipation of more Firefly.

I assume Objects in Space is the one you haven't watched? I would be mad at myself for not watching that episode immediatly rather than FOX because that episode was my favorite... I sooo wouldn't talk to myself for a week.
