In case anyone is a fan of the FX Network police drama "The Shield", Gina Torres will be guest-starring tonight as the ex-wife of this season's antagonist, Internal Affairs Detective Kavanaugh (played by Forest Whitaker).

I notice that Gina seems to be in demand to guest-star on some of the best dramas on TV (Angel, 24, and now The Shield), further validating our collective opinion that she's a fantastic actress.

Wow. With those other shows you listed, plus Alias, all Ms. Torres has to do is a guest spots on Bones and Battlestar Galactica, and she will have appeared every damned show I've watched for the last 5 years.

That show is seriously wicked. I've not watched every ep, but since this season, I've tried to catch it when I can. Forest Whitiker is some b.a actor, and now Gina? Yikes. Talk about major talent!

People love a happy ending. So every episode, I will explain once again that I don't like people. And then Mal will shoot someone. Someone we like. And their puppy. - Joss

Just wonderin, but have Forest Whitiker and Andre Braugher ever been on the same show/ moive? I think it would be awesome to get those 2 on screen together. Dunno why, the idea just seemed like a good one.

I love the Shield...my favorite show on regular TV these days (Entourage and the Soprano's are both great ones on HBO). Didn't know she was on it til I saw her.

Man, ya beat me to it. I was about to post about her guest spot. She gave an awesome performance (as always) and I hope she'll have a couple more guest spots just to make Whitaker's character twist a little more. I miss our warrior woman, but it's good to see her on the small screen again.

Keep flyin' Browncoats.

Very powerful show tonight. Gina did a great job, even though it's a bit different role than most are use to seeing her. Well done indeed.
