Final Fantasy XI for the last 2 yrs, Madden 06, NCAA football/baseball 06, formally a Quake III god, I love fps, Kotor I & II, too many to name really. Going to play me some "Freelancer", soon as me find a copy. I need a new laptop, and a 360, then my life will be pretty much complete.

AM I NOT MERCIFUL?!?!?!?

Well I play mostly First Person Shooters but do enjoy fighter pilot games like Ace Combat 5. The games I play have to have a decent between mission story, and a background. I also play online MMORPG's, and am currentaly trying to make a Firefly one in the same fashion that the game Newage3 is made in.

I play all kinds of stuff and go through phases of different genre gaming. Right now I've kinda gotten back into more 2d gaming with the portables. My oh so powerful computer is just sitting there wasting away, crying that I've chosen to play the DS instead, haha.

Amen dyepbr, amen. Love the KoTOR games (How awesome would a Firefly game be?) but I like just about any genre, FPS, action/adventure, RPG, etc. I can get into just about anything. Personal faves lately have been Civ III, Sims II, and Morrowind which I have pretty much played on and off since release.

Unfortunately first person shooters give me horrible dizzying headaces, so I can't play them.

Instead I play nice long, plot driven RPGs and platform games, such as Jax and Daxter.

I'm desperately waiting for a Jax game for the PSP.

I find it to be good therapy to play FPS games. I like shooting at people. I play TFC, DOD, CS, and sometimes Quake 3. I tried playing Medal of Honor and COD, but I can't seem to get into those.

Nerdily obsessed with Flight Simulators, but tend to go for the arcade / messing around aimlessly modes, rather than the flight-planning, preflight checks anal stuff.

Microsoft FS2004 may be dominant in the market, but to my mind not all that good looking or much fun at all, so it gets used little.

Pacific Fighters, Lock-On, Sturmovik are OK if you ignore the mission building nonsense. I also have FMS, which is a free Radio Control plane sim. Very basic graphics, but the planes really do behave like the real R/Cs infesting my attic.

Best of all is, strangely, a very very cheap sim by a bloke called Ilan Papani. Microflight 5. Very basic, click and go with no messing about with setups and controls. Good with athmospheric conditions. Tendancy towards low and slow flying. Very good indeed.

He also does a boat and sailing simulator called Virtual Sailor, which follows the same philosophy. Cheap, very useable and restful fun

Had a bit of a binge last year to get the graphics up to scratch. Athlon 64 3500+ chip and a PCI Express Radeon X700PRO. Out of date already...

Although the PC has taken over somewhat, my old Playstation 1 still has the Ace Combat series, Air Race, a Radio Control Helicopter game and more. Gran Tourismo and Colin McRae Rally are still classics. Old, but not crap by any means.

In the real world, a psychopathic 1986 GSXR-1100G reminds me that the real stuff is as much of a hoot.

Is it any wonder I have no friends...

Over the years, I've loved a varity of games. From survival horror (Resident Evil series/Silent Hill series), to espionage, (Metal Gear Solid 1/2, Syphon Filter etc) and arcade games like the Tekken series.

Driving games are a lot of fun, (especially the Driver series.) I love the film director mode.

Previously, I had roughly over a year and a half away from PS2 and computer games in general, but decided to buy an XBox in December.

I now love FPS. Halo 2 is a classic. Great action, and attention to detail. Love the ingame dialogue from the AI.

'Black' is pure adrenaline. Can't praise this game enough. The visuals are gorgeous and the gameplay is so intense.

The Grand Theft Auto series and True Crime NYC are just sinful pleasures.

I like Splinter Cell too. I always have a soft spot for these type of games.

At the moment, I'm playing 'Gun'. Westerns have never been so much fun! There's a lot of nice elements, from the quick draw function to the variety in gameplay. (Fending off indians, whilst on top of a moving stagecoach, is crazy!)

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I love me some FPS games.

Favorites are Killzone, Black, Halflife (all of them), Halo (1 & 2), Medal of Honor (any of them), & Call of Duty.

I just got Black for PS2 on Friday and am really getting into it. Anyone else playing?

I've been playing Call of Duty 2, Condemned, Dead or Alive 4, Kameo, Perfect Dark Zero and Quake 4 on the 360 (awesome). The game I'm most looking forward to is Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I love RPG's, I live for RPG's. I love Halo but Halo 2 sucked hard IMO. Morrowind, Fable and KOTOR are also faves but KOTOR II sucked hard also. Here's my collection if you wanna check it out. Ohh. I was an avid gamester for quite some time -- since way back when you played them on boards with dice. I still occasionally dabble in a few.

I was the president & founder of the strategic war games club in High School way back in the day (and undefeated in over 100 encounters, as well).

Since the days of computers, I like most FPS I've had opportunity to play (including all Half Lifes, Deus Ex, NOLF, Far Cry, Halo, Jedi Knights, Jedi Academy, etc. -- even Delta Force and Terra Nova from the old days).

Have played both KOTOR games, as well.

I was also into battle games like Waterloo, Gettyburg, etc. -- both in computer simulation, as well as in the old board game days (took forever to play them with 5,000 cardboard pieces -- and try to get a dozen friends to each take a different country in WWII, then show up to play every few days: not easy).

I liked games with design elements, too, like the Sim City games. As a matter-of-fact, I bought "Streets of Sim City", not because I liked to race cars, but because I liked to design raceways (the same thing with "Sim Golf" -- enjoyed designing the courses more than playing on them).

On the PC I play mostly FPSs, never got into RTS or MMORPGs. On consoles I play a variety of games. On GameCube I play Metroid, Zelda, Mario, Smash Brothers, F-Zero, Monkey Ball, pretty much anything by Nintendo or Sega. On Xbox I play Halo 2, Kotor, Forza, and sports games.

If they made a Firefly/Serenity game I would like it to be like Kotor for the storytelling and character interaction, but have more action based gameplay with shootouts and bar fights. You would have to go around finding jobs, choosing the characters to go on the job with you(main character is Mal of course), what weapons to equip them with, and then communicate with the others back on the ship. It could be done so well, especially if they get the cast to do the voices and get Joss to do a lot of the writing.

STORYMARK

I play mainly console games, preferring to keep my computer strictly for video editing. But my PS2 and X-Box (when I have one) get a lot of use.

If I were to pick a favorite genre, it would be the stealth/espionage games like Metal Gear Solid, Splinter Cell, and Syphon Filter.

I'm also a bit fan of FPS, most especially Half-Life. Some of the "sandbox" games are quite addictive, especially Grand Theft Auto, Spider-Man 2, The Hulk, and Gun.

I only occationally play platformers, but the Prince of Persia series was a lot of fun.

My favorite games fall into two categories: First, I love games with an immersive storyline that's as strong as the rest of the gameplay. Games like KOTOR, Splinter Cell, etc. Second, I love sports games (and I'm devoted to EA's stuff) because I can keep coming back to them again and again and not feel like it's something I've already played through.

I also have a soft spot in my heart for classic point and click adventure/mystery games like Law & Order, of which there are sadly fewer and fewer.

Halo 1 & 2 are both masterpieces, Gun was a great ride, Splinter cell series, I have always been an EA whore, I have all the retro arcade game collection, just so many games I didn't mention that I love, so I'm just gonna claim "all of the above". I'm a gamer at heart, always liked games growing up, then one of my friends hooked me on defender. I have been a fiend ever since, If it's a great game I want to play it, doesn't matter what console, or format. With every console the games get more immersive, and graphics more realistic, I love it. One thing I love about Firefly is everything looks real, no cheese at all. It's not just FF though, the CGI nowawadays is just simply amazing, great time to be a gamer, and a Sci-fi enthusiast,

Yeah, that's true, a lot of times TV Show/Movie titles are really sub-par. I guess I just have really bad taste though cuz I thought that Matrix game (havent played Path of Neo, the older one) was kind of fun and I liked that Mission Impossible game for the N64 (Goodness, does anyone remember that game?)

Anyway, you couldn't completely write off a Firefly game, some games have done very well with titles, Goldeneye for the N64 for instance, and some of the other Bond video games aren't too bad either. I think I'd rather have a Firefly game then not just on the off chance that it might not be any good. (ok so odds are in favor that it WOULD be bad)

They could just have Bioware make an RPG based on the Franchise. Then it couldn't go wrong. Ahh, but I'm fantasizing now.

Right now I mostly play SCS-Dangerous Waters a modern naval combined arms sim. I also script missions for it, make and paint new ship models, and command one of the fleets in “Clash in the Caribbean” an experimental trial game for the Global Domination Tournament a strategic wargame (pen and paper style) shell for DW- we plot out our fleets on paper then jump online every week or two and fight out the battles.

I also make lots of ships (mostly submarines) for Virtual Sailor (someone else previously mentioned it). Right now I’m focusing on building Diesel Submarines 1930-1970, so far I’ve built a USN ‘S’ class, USN Tench class, and I’m building a Soviet Zulu IV and Whiskey (V and ‘Twin Cylinder’) along with some other projects here and there.

Also I’m involved in the making of a Firefly total conversion of Escape Velocity Nova (see sig) so I play that a lot for Beta Testing.

Yikes every game I play seems more like work than play...

Way to go with the submarines. As someone who can just about find the "On" switch on a computer, I'm highly impressed. If I see them on Hangsim, I'll no doubt steal some.

To be honest, I only had Virtual Sailor 5 for a long time, and actually treated myself to the latest 7.2.5 Beta version yesterday. Rather embarrassingly, on the maiden voyage of the Nautilus, what with it being underwater and me being distracted by the organ and chintz furniture, I managed to beach it. Almost up over the wall in Venice and would have made it too, if the ram hadn't got thoroughly stuck.

CYBERSNARK

I don't have nearly as much time to game as I'd like.

Not so much a fan of FPS as I am of Third-person shooters. First-person has no peripheral vision, and I tend to want to wander all over the battlefield, exploring everything while keeping an eye out for attacks. With First-person, I suck up 10-12 hits before I can even figure out where the fire's coming from, and by then I'm dead.

Besides, melee and hand-to-hand are so much more fun than spraying gunfire around.

I'm a big Star Wars game fan, broke my teeth on Dark Forces and have been following Kyle Katarn's career with great interest ever since. I used to play Jedi Academy all the time until my computer was "upgraded" and can no longer play Q3 engine games (since that computer isn't hooked up to the internet, I can't really search for the right drivers either).

Now all I'm left with is Jedi Knight (which is ten years old and still has a thriving editing community) and X-Wing Alliance.

Also played a bunch of Star Trek games, but the only one that really sucked me in with its quality was DS9: The Fallen. No other ST game can compete. All that's missing is multiplayer (and the attendant editing community), and it'd be perfect.

I tend to like puzzle-solving mixed in with my action/adventure/simulation. I like games that cross genres.

Kaele owns Dark.

But Kaele never gets to play it.

Or BattleFront II, which she also owns.

I'm either backseat-watching hubby and 5 year old play, or my brother's there usurping the LCD TV to play his games in our living room. Which is stupid since he's got his own gorram PS2 in his own gorram room! (Yes, he lives with us. *sigh* Long story.)

No, Kaele usually plays "Let's find the missing sneaker," or "Time to clean up the food on the floor." Fun games. My favorite is usually, "How much yelling will it take before someone does his homework?" or "Who still can't put their clothes in the hamper?"

I wonder if those are multi-platform games?

I like the multi-player mode better in 2 than 1, but, yeah, the single player was a bit of a disappointment. Almost the same story.

To try to name all my games would take up way too much space, plus I'm lazy, but right now I'm playing Dragon Quest VIII and loving it.

I play a bit of everything on the consoles, so I'll just name my favorite of each type. Sorry it's so long!

RPG Final Fantasy VI. Easily the hardest category to decide, what with Chrono Trigger, FF's 4, 9, 10 and Tactics, as well as Lunar and Panzer Dragoon Saga to pick from.

Fighting Street Fighter Alpha 3. I LOVE this game. "3-d" fighters can all burn in the hot place for all I care. I hate button mashers!

Action/Adventure The Legend of Zelda: the Ocarina of Time. The only competition in this category are the other Zelda games.

"Sports" WWF No Mercy. While I don't watch wrestling, the controls and moves in this game beat everything in the "next gen" consoles.

FPS Perfect Dark. Most people like Golden Eye, but I thought Rare did better without the license.

Platformer Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. I wanted to say Mario, but I've played this game far more than is healthy.

Halo 2, Time Spilters, and Diablo II Lord of Destruction!

My favorite games are the 4 player type...or ones you play with other real people. Hell, I never do the individual missions on these games and only play with friends or family.

After going for a few months without much gaming I decided to reactivate my World of Warcraft account. Within about 15 minutes of logging back in a character named Simontam went running past me so I just had to shout after him, "SIMONTAM, YOU ARE BOUND BY LAW!".

He just kept going which I though was in keeping with the character...

You've got the light...from the console...keep you, lift you up. They shine like...little angels...zzzzzzzzzzzz.

I enjoy multi player games on GC mostly. Smash bros, Super Mario Strikers, and Mario Kart (64 or double dash), GTA: San Andreas, Perfect dark as well. All party games.
On my own I play rpg/action games. X-Men legends2 is sweet, Shadow Hearts is probably my favorite RPG series ever. Zelda is a very good series too.

Hey, I love X-Men Legends II also. That's a great game. Boy-o, most of you guys play the hard games. I try to get into the FPS things and all the cool cutting edge games, but I completely suck at them. In fact, the only game I've ever beaten without help from cheat codes is Lego Star Wars. That was a blast, and my daughter loved to watch me play it. Outside of that I play sports games. NCAA March Madness 06 is super (Go Jayhawks!) and NCAA Football 06 are the tops here. Outside of those three games I'm pretty much out of the game loop.

Oh, and occasionally I play tag, but I don't think that's whay you meant in this thread.
