Hi.

I was thinking that a letter that is asking for something (in other words, demanding) is easy to dismiss. So I thought, would it be better if in our letters to the networks we :

1. Praise the network. For Universal SciFi it is easy - Thank You guys for bringing us such a good show. Really waited for it. Thanks! Looking foward for continuation!

2. Arrange so it is a parcel with kind of a souvenir. Then it already stands out of the huge amount of letters they get regarding other shows. And - some free valuables in there!

What do You think?

Keep flying.

I don't know about giving them stuff!!!

But yeah, a small amount of courtesy rather than abuse proably goes a long way

Hey,

I'm sure it is possblt to come up with something that does nto cost that much but shows appreciation. I dunno. If You are a handy one you can always do something yourself :) My idea just to create a package that stands out and needs a special handling. And not just a an envelope. There should be something more. A question "And now what I am supposed to do with that?" that in its turn requires supervisor assistance and guidance. To create a fuss in an intellegent way :)

Keep Flying.

Myself and a couple of others have also made that suggestion on this and other FF fan boards. Most of the "war-weary" 'Coats have poo-poo'd on the idea.

S'not gonna stop me though, I'm sending the SciFi channel a nice thank-you letter, encouraging them to acquire the broadcast rights from Fox so they can bring the show back, along with a sponsor's product, and a shiny plastic dinosaur.

Got three converts at the office that are going to do the same.

No disrespect meant to said "war-weary" 'Coats, I know you folks have fought hard, tried about everything, and gotten incredibly frustrated along the way. Some even think that sending "stuff" to the networks might make FF fans look bad. I don't really think it will make a difference, but I don't think it will hurt either. I appreciate the wisdom of your experience, but in this instance, I happen to disagree with you.

At a minimum, I hope folks, especially new folks, will send thank-you letters in to SciFi after today's Firefly marathon, and casually ask: "So when will more new episodes be on?".

Here's the address again:

We've had a tread full of mailing addresses and advice for letters that we've been trying to keep alive for about the past month. Check it out, its called "Mailing addresses for the faithful" and I'll make a post on it to bring it up to the front again so you folks can see it.
