Yeah I know, it's not Saint Patrick's day until tomorrow. Doesn't matter. I'm Irish, and our feast days always last three days -

So, who wants a virtual Browncoat shindig to celebrate the day? I have mudder's milk, dyed green especially for the occasion. I'm fairly certain it's non-toxic. Fairly certain. I'm willing to take the first sip to check!

Green mudders milk?
Sound's dangerious but so is all alcohol. Down the hatch. *cough.....gag* pulls a face.
Well....it's not good but it burns so that's a good sign.
Anyway I brought a plate of green sugar cookies. Originally clover shaped but...not so much anymore.

Oh goody I was hoping they’d be okay. I didn’t have vanilla extract so I used almond. OH maybe I should have warned everyone. Does almond extract aggravate allergies to nuts? I sure hope not.

I'll take another glass of milk and a stick of protein if you have some extra I've got a mighty appetite.

Mudder's milk is fine and all but I've got something special I've been saving for a while. *dave pulls a distinctive square bottle from underneath his brown coat* Old Bushmills, as fine a whiskey as ever been distilled. Take a sip and pass it around.

Ah, and a lovely smell it is, at that.

Happy St Pat's to you, David, and thank you.

And now for a wee bit of contraband (what's a Browncoat gathering without some? ) To go with the Bushmills and Tullimore dew what's floating around, not only some coffee, but some lovely cream as well.

Cheers my friends!

Sure you can, if you already have any buttons at home. It's not too hard to design the writing on your computer. Just make sure it'll fit within the parameters of the button size. Print it, cut it out, stick it on the existing button with a bit of tape on the back of the paper, cover it with plastic wrap and tape it down on the back side of the button, but not over the pin portion. (Can ya tell I've done this before? )

Good luck!

Yum.

I want to have your children now.

But do you know the story of Irish coffee? Well I'm'a tell you. Back in the early days of aviation on Earth That Was the first company to provide air transportation service across the Atlantic ocean used a contraption known as a flying boat - this was in the days before grav boots secondary or otherwise.) These flying boats were slow and the seating was cramped and the flying boats tended to shake the passengers about a bit so folks flying from New York in the Americas (later to become an integral part of the Alliance) to the island of Eire would arrive with a rather great need for a restorative elixir. Some cafeine, some alchohol, and a bit of cream fit the bill nicely and the Irish Coffee was born.

LOL! Well, we'd better hurry. That won't be possible for much longer.

My friend and I went to the Auld Sod a few years back and at the B&B we kept downing Irish coffees for as long as the kitchen had fresh cream, much to the amusement of the manager and bartender.

And a civilized solution it was, too. Thanks for telling me. I'd always wondered.

BTW--if you really want a button for the Fireflyrish, I had a sudden brain spurt. (eww) I took a saved file from a temp button I'd done a few years ago and redid it for that. If you'd like it, message me with your email addy and I'll send it to you (as I'm about to go to bed, I'll email it first thing in the morning--5am EST.)

Thanks for the offer but my printer is rather non functional at the moment. I may just have to draw one up by hand.
