ok, its buffy news, not firefly, but this board is quiet anyway.
I visited www.slayage.com, they
link to a story called good riddance to buffy...

www.starmagazine.com/stories/feature.cfm?instanceid=57920

If its true, that is kind of wierd, eh?
It just looks like a rumor magazine.
She is snotty though.

I wonder if her attitude maybe caused Joss
to write in the part where the whole cast
turned on her and threw her out. Maybe caleb
will kill her.

Joss: "hey caleb, you are now the star of the show and you are going to kill buffy the snot."

Well I don't know if it's true or not, but I wouldn't be surprised. All I know is she comes off pretty stupid and annoying in interviews. I read on some forum (I wish to God this were mine): "She's marrying Freddie Prinze because he's the only human being on the planet that makes her feel intellectually superior."

"I go online sometimes, but everyone's spelling is just so bad. It's depressing." Tara, BTVS

I don't know - to me it sounds more like somebody wants to throw with dirt. And it is unlogical, too: "Although he's committed to work with Gellar on Scooby-Doo Too, he just couldn't bear to appear in the last episode of Buffy with her, reveals the insider."

To my opinion, that does not make sense - he makes a whole movie with her, but hates her too much to be part of one episode? Come on... Even if there are differences, I would assume that Seth is professional enough to not let this go into his work.

I figure it's probably just someone trying to make up dirt. Still, it would explain a lot.

I said in a different post that it seems to me that the worst written parts of BtVS are parts where it seems that it was contorted to get Buffy on screen. The writers are too good to just assume that they have to break they stories and make all of the characters act out of character to put the title character on screen. But if they were in a situation where Sarah said, “Give me more air time or I walk,” that would explain it.

Much as I would like to see it, you can’t really do BtVS with out Buffy. The least it would need is a new name, and then people think its just another spin off and it losses part of its fan base.

It sounds like a gossip magazine dishing up dirt to get ratings to me.

Disregard.

Actually, recently articles in Entertainment Weekly and FHM have said pretty much the same thing: Nicholas Brendon found out the show was ending after reading SMG's EW interview, and then he showed it to AH & ASH. It's not like they weren't expecting the show to end, but that doesn't make what SMG did right.

I believe that Sarah was once a very nice girl. But fame comes at a price, turning people into divas and such. I would expect that any future Buffy spinoffs, movies, or events would conveniently not have Buffy in them, or at least with a minimized role.

That isn’t the first time I've heard that SMG is very difficult to work with. Strangely enough, I've read her and Joss get along pretty well.

Keep Flying!

I do think that Sarah's probably a sweetheart next to someone like Shannen Doherty.

Not that I'm taking sides an' all, but the Star is the Enquirer's jealous kid sister, tagging along, wanting to do everything her big brother does.

Of course she WAS nothing before this series, and she's only made (in my opinion) one good movie since. Scooby Doo 2 isn't gonna get my money.

Seth and SMG have known each other since they were little kids (having done a Chips Ahoy! commercial together when they were wee tots). I seriously doubt he possesses such venom for SMG.

The BTVS cast and crew have been a large family for several years. All families have spats and quarrels. If you spent 15+ hours a day with someone you worked with, you'd get on each other's nerves every now and again too.

I'm in the camp that finds a magazine such as Star Magazine to have no truthful merit or at the very least to be greatly exaggerating the truth.

There is more than enough evidence from reputable sources, i.e. not star, to firmly support both sides. So unless we get to meet her, and spend enough time with her to get a good idea of who she really is, there is no way we can know if she really is nice, or really is snotty.

I think SMG is human - so she probably has both her snotty moments and her nice moments. I've always heard her described as very professional and very helpful to Michelle Trachtenberg, but I get the feeling that she is a very private person and that might make her seem a bit stand-offish.
