CRAIGULARB

I think the title explains itself enough.

I heard about Serenity through a friend of mine, rented it, watched it, kind of forgot about it. Then I remembered it one day, and dug up all I could on it. Asked a couple of my friends, and suddenly I find myself looking for the Serenity and Firefly DVDs on Amazon. And before I knew it, I found myself sending waves and callin' things shiny.

I fell in love with Firefly after watching the 1st episode (on the DVDs of course), and that made me love Serentiy even more. So I guess I'm a really, really new Browncoat.

On a non-Browncoat topic, I generally enjoy listening to music (classical and rock mostly), reading, playing video games, and sitting in front of my computer. I play euphonium in my school's top band, and am learning to play trombone for jazz band. I like paintball, "The Guide", novels by William Gibson, and Eric Whitacre's choral and wind compositions....Anything else you might want to know, feel free to ask

Forged in the fires of the paintball field
From the dusty plains of the Fairgrounds
From welts and bruises and blood and bonus-balls
And the adrenaline of an elimination
I am from a cloudless, star-filled night
Spent on the beach in the company of friends
Gazing at the stars

Welcome! Pull up a chair. Or better yet, convert all your friends and co-workers and pull up a couple dozen! ;)

Hi, Craigularb!

Welcome onboard. Always good to see new recruits.
I reckon FollowMal will be along sooner or later with a new browncoat for you. In the meantime, look around and enjoy yourself.

Shiny, CraigularB!

I'm wondering how it took so long for the infection to incubate. Better have Simon take you for tests of your immune system. Medical science may need the information.

Always glad to see a new recruit here.

Come on to the galley, where we have a festive buffet laid out. Some is real (the strawberries, natch) and you can guess about the rest while "questioning it."

In the normal course of things, FollowMal will eventually find you and issue your virtual browncoat.

Next thing: Learn to play "The Hero of Canton" on your euphonium.

Greetings, ianw, and welcome to the land of SereniFly.

Grab a mug and a plate from the cupboard in the galley and sample the buffet. It's getting that late-night look but it's still wholesome and tasty. More strawbs in the cooler, and a few ice-planets left. Hope you like chocolate or amaretto flavor.

FollowMal has a store-room for virtual browncoats, but it's been hit hard of late. Hang out and she'll likely find you.

(don't pet the llamas -- they do not exist)

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Welcome to the site & the fanbase CraigularB! Glad to have you here w/ us.

Be sure to share Firefly & especially the movie DVD with everyone you can think of. The more the merrier & we need all the new browncoats we can gather to the cause.

Hello and welcome to the boat CraigularB and Ian. It's good to have you both here.

CraigularB my youngest son is into paintball too, big time. He drives an hour every weekend just to practice.

I came to enjoy the Joss/verse ( as so many )
by seeing Serenity first. Then catching the FF dvds later. It would have been more fun to have seen FF on tv as the series developed, but either way the journey lead here.

Enjoy the site fellows, Z

I will! I followed the same path- saw the movie at the theater and funnily enough, aeon flux was out at the same time so I thought hollywood had a "sci-fi, female hero" moment in time. Months pass and my bro gets me the movie on dvd and told me that it was on back order for 2 weeks (he gave it to me a week after x-mas) and that's when he told me about the show.

Honestaly, i havn't been a regular tv watcher for quite some time- i remember it being on the air and hearing good things but again, friday afternoons? nope, i'm definately not inside going to 'tader-mode

i'd like to join the bandwagon and organize the theatrical showing of serenity in buffalo ny on june 23rd but that's the last week of summer classes (calculus II eek) so we'll see if i can get soem time on the weeekends
