DEEPGIRL187

I saw the thread by Whoops, and something in my brain went snappity-snap. I suddenly felt compelled to make this insane list. I was going to post it on the original thread, but the list took on a mind of its own. Rather than hijack Whoops's thread, I figured I'd make a new one. If the entries don't make sense, don't worry. It's just a product of my music-crazed mind.

If there are any another music threads on this site, I swear that I will never post on a single one of them. If I get all of this out of my system, I'll be okay (I hope).

WHOOPS

Quote:

Kaylee:
Lovefool, by The Cardigans
I Believe In A Thing Called Love, by The Darkness

Mr. Brightside, by The Killers

Deffo agree with them songs for those characters. And all the others fit really well

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Love. You can do all the math in the 'Verse, but you take a boat in the air you
don't love, she'll shake you off sure as a turnin' of worlds. Love keeps her in
the air when she oughtta fall down. Tells you she's hurtin' 'fore she keens.
Makes her a home." Mal

CYBERSNARK

Some additions from my huge and embarrasing AMV/Mp3 collections:

Mal:
Sound the Bugle, by Bryan Adams
(I explain why in that other thread)

Wash:
Trucker Hat, by Bowling for Soup
I'll never go out of style on you,
'Cause nothing really feels the way you do,
And nothing in the world could ever make me look as good,
When you fit me like you do.

River:
Crazy, by Seal
And we're never gonna survive,
Unless we get a little crazy.
And we're never gonna survive,
Unless we have a little faith.
[. . .]
In a world full of people,
Only some want to fly,
Isn't that crazy?

(Come to that, it could work for Wash too.)

Simon:
Geeks get the Girls, by American Hi-Fi
Tonight's the night,
He's gonna get it right.
Even losers get lucky sometimes.
All the geeks on a winning streak,
Shout it all around the world,
'Cause the geeks get the girls.

Book:
Dangerous, by Hilary Duff
Some secrets need to be kept.
Some stories should never be told.
Some reasons shouldn't be understood,
They just might turn your blood cold.

Love's Divine, by Seal
I need love,
Love's divine.
Please forgive me, now I see that I've been blind.
I need Love,
Love will help me know my name.

Inara:
Stupid, by Sarah Maclaughlin
How stupid could I be?
A simpleton could see
That you're no good for me,
But you're the only one I see.

Fallen, by Sarah Maclaughlin
Heaven knelt to take my hand,
Nowhere left to turn.
Lost to those I thought were friends,
To everyone I know,
Oh, they turn their heads, embarrased,
Pretend that they don't see,
But it's one missed step and you slip before you know it.

And finally, a Mal/Inara duet:
How Many Stars, by Preeya Kalidas & Raza Jaffrey
How many stars
Have to shine,
Before your eyes meet mine?
How many stars
Must I see,
Before you dream like me?

EDIT now that I have time to look up names.

FozzieWash, You know what I always say: sometimes you're the windshield, sometimes you're the bug!
KermieMal, I never Know what the heck you're talking about.
FozzieWash, Hey, look! They're sending us free lumber!
