Many people talk about getting Firefly back on the air. Has anyone thought of the possibility of episodes being made and released straight to DVD? Think about it.

Right now, Firefly is ranked #13 in overall DVD sales at Amazon.com. For a show that was cancelled four years ago, that’s damn near miraculous.

So, if Joss, the cast, the crew and everyone involved got together and made, say, 13 episodes and released them straight to DVD as a box set, would you buy it without having seen the episodes?

For a thread on why the series should not go on:

And thank you for noticing.

As I said in the one post, Firefly can continue provided we say that Serenity hasn't happened and may not happen. After all, in the episodes to come, something may happen to the characters that would make the BDM irrelevant.
