How can I find a convention where the actors (or part thereof) will be near me? How do you people find these conventions? I would SOOOOO love to go and show my support of the series and movie.

where do you live?
in many areas people have set up local 'Browncoat' groups where we communicate online and and meet up occassionally (like I'm in the Bay area and we get together fairly often, like tonight in San Jose for a big Chinese banquet)

You'll find a lot of conventions mentioned here at fff if any of the BDHs will be appearing,
and also at Whedonesque if Joss or any of the actors from any of his shows (Buffy, or Angel, as well as Firefly/Serenity):

Too bad there can't be a big convention in Chicago or something. I might love Firefly, but driving to the coasts or the UK is a little to far for this Iowa boy.

well Joss came to the Wizard World comic con in Chicago two years ago...
and there have been conventions in Indianapolis before and probably will be again...
and I think there have been events in Kansas City

so keep your eyes open and don't lose heart!

Sorry to be a wet rag here, but if you offer enough money to the BDHs You will get them.

I have an idea. I’m going to die soon, so I am throwing caution to the wind financially, and I think I want to invite all the BDHs over to my home for 2 days, and based on their monetary takes at conventions and such, It should, for me to get them over to my place.

I would want a lot of people there, so would it be possible that all of you could show up as well? Just a thought.

The actors would get $5,000 each just for showing up which is just pennies in these modern times. I have a huge home. I can handle a lot of people for a few days.

Regardless if I get a yes or no, I’m going to do this for myself.

Just for all the actors alone will cost me 45,000+ dollars, but so what? If it’s just me…then I get total photo bonanza, but if you guys show up, it would be total fun.

What do you think?

Thanks to whomever posted the stuff about BDHs at DragonCon. I usually don't even pay attention to the cons, but I think I maght make it up to this one this year.
