Did you guys see this?

http://www.buy.com/prod//q/loc/322/40231032.html

Buy.com is only allowing you to buy one DVD per customer. Isnt that crazy? What is going on? Its 42.43 on Buy.com also, far more expensive than Amazon. Am I missing something? It is also on the front page of their DVD section:

Do you think this will mean a price jump on Amazon soon? I might have to buy some sets now and not wait until Serenity Day...

It shouldn't make a difference if the same person buys 20 DVDs or 20 people buy 1 each... unless the shipping prices facture in there somewhere. How strange. And, really, their price is almost twice the Amazon price...

Maybe they just don't like people who have friends.

I mean the traditional reason to buy two of a thing (other than a backup) is one for yourself and one for a friend.

Actually there is a simple explanation, if they currently have a limited quantity, and want to have promt delivery, they can't risk running out. That means until they have more in stock if they want everyone who wants one to get one they need to limit the amount people can get.

Have you ever tried to get something and then said, "How the fuck can that be out of stock?" It makes you think twice before going back to that place again.

When the place is online, and thus has no reason to be out of stock (you can put your warehouse anywhere, space shouldn't be a problem) it would be worse.

Two other related points about the FF DVD set:

First, I was in Target this weekend and saw the FF set selling for $40. It's $25 on their website. That's a strange difference in price.

Second, FF has now risen to #6 on Amazon as of today. I know, I know, the Amazon rankings don't mean much and the chances of a series are slim to none, but I still honestly find it amazing that it sells so well! If nothing else, it's an indirect indication of possibly new FF fans which might increase our chances of seeing the Big Damn Trilogy.
