CHINDI

Someone posted the following quote on Gossi's board... it sounds mighty intriguing!!!

"At Collectormania 9 this weekend, Alan Tudyk revealed that Joss had told him that Wash and Book would both be in a sequel to Serenity, if it happens. Alan was speaking at a panel talk on Sunday April 30th where he was joined by Ron Glass. When asked if the two would consider being a part of the sequel, Alan replied that he had been told both characters would return in any second film. "

Oh, Chindi, this is good news.. both of them back!

So now, we do all we can to hold the line, advance the line, run over their gorram lines to have a sequel!

Oh, how I want to know what happens next!

Oh, and Chindi, you are the best! For a wonderful shiny reason!

Alan didn't mention WHEN Joss told them that, though... might be old news in the new news. Wait, new news? That's stupid.
But nevertheless, here's hoping!

BROWNCOATS UNITE!

What do you think their actual capacity in the movie would be? Flashback? Reavers? Holographic projections? River doing her best "I see dead people"? Don't get me wrong, I'm all for 'em being in the Sequel, but I have to wonder how/where they'll fit into the story line.

not intending to squash hope, there's always hope, but this is old information. All 9 were signed for 3 movies, and Joss said they'd all be in sequels, almost as soon as Serenity was released. I'm not saying there haven't been recent talks. Just saying this is no indication that there has been.

Ah, gorramit, Jadehand, I'm just gonna blind myself to what you just typed and be happy anyway!

And as for the return of Book and Wash , I'll trust to Joss.. he's a master storyteller. He'll think of some sound way to include them.

The Visual Companion for Serenity states in a caption on page 36 that Wash is a character "who, according to Whedon, could return in a sequel." Since I got the Companion before the movie came out and since that statement was written in the book well before I bought it I count this as old information.
