Howdy all!
I've been making several purchases of Serenity and Firefly-related stuff from different sellers, and I've had... differing experiences so far. I'm sure you have had those, as well, and this is the place to recommend or warn your fellow browncoats.

I'ma do it like this, but everyone can do it their own way, of course:
Five stars is best.
Price: How worthy of your hard earned money was the item?
Delivery time: How quick did you get it?
Packaging: How secure was your item packed?
Service: How shiny was the seller, did he put in free stuff or give you a discount, how easy was the transaction?
Quality: What is the objective quality of the item?
Shininess: "Overall" rating. Were you happy as a pig in hwai when you saw what you got or was it more like "Well, okay, I guess.", or even "Wtf?"?

Then I'll add an entertaining, insanely hi-larious and wickedly witty summary of the... mentionable... stuff about the... transaction thingie.
So here goes, in chronological order...

Seller: BlueMoonStuff, US
Website: www.bluemoonstuff.com ***
Item: Independents Flag t-shirt
Price: ***** $17.25 (+ $4.05 shipping)
Delivery time: ***** (5 days I think, US to Germany!)
Service: *****
Quality: *****
Shininess: *****

"Whoa!", you say? Is it wise to go full throttle on the first review? Well, there isn't really anything negative to say.
I mentioned I ordered some shirts from another seller (we'll get to him later), and BlueMoonStuff kindly hinted at his website. I was kind of sceptical at first, but boy, was I in for a treat! I browsed around a bit on his site (sorta hard to navigate) and fell in love with the Independents Flag T-Shirt. So I wrote BMS a PM that I want it in size m, and he sent me a PayPal bill or whatever it's called, I payed, and not even a week later I was wearing it. It was WICKED fast. And he had put in a bunch of shiny stickers and notepads, too!
The shirt looks exactly like it looks in the pictures, btw.
I don't know about the tilted blue star being in accord with "official" sources, in which the star is apparently upside down but not tilted, but I really like it, and because it says "Serenity Valley" beneath the flag (of course repeated in Chinese!), the tilted star makes sense because it was the end of the Independents Army. It also looks cool.
The quality of the shirt is great, and the print, which is pre-made to look worn and weathered (but in a good way), looks like it can take a lot of rides in the washer.
BlueMoonStuff was very polite and friendly and all that, and it was definitely a pleasure doing business with him, and I can not recommend him enough.

-------------------------------------------------

Okay, that's one. I haven't received most of the stuff I bought yet, but more reviews will come in as the packages do.
I just got another set of t-shirts, not from BlueMoonStuff, and there are... complications. Which gave me the idea for this thread.
So here's your chance to keep your fellow Browncoats from crying themselves to sleep because they payed hard earned cashy money on hwai, or to point them the right way so that they can sleep well with their shiny Serenity-whatever hugged tight.

This is NOT advertising space, however. Of course, sellers can always jump in to defend their honor, or others can defend them. This is about personal experience, and maaaaybe a little bit of "A friend of mine told me".
So go wild.

And get neckid.

I ordered some shirts from lilactradingstation.com. I have already received the "Browncoats shirt" and it is fantastic! Very good quality printing and the shirt is a good "heavy" grade tee shirt! Very pleased! Can't wait to get the other shirts! I have the "Aim to Misbehave" shirt as well as the black tee with the Firefly in white. Going to be SHINY!

FIVE STARS FOR JETFLAIR AT SERENITYVERSE.COM

I bought several sets of dogtags. And am drooling over the Mal bracelet.

Price: How worthy of your hard earned money was the item? Very. In fact, I ordered more.

Delivery time: How quick did you get it?
Within 5 days, which to Alaska is really something.

Packaging: How secure was your item packed?
Perfectly. Arrived in pristine condition.

Service: How shiny was the seller, did he put in free stuff or give you a discount, how easy was the transaction?
The transaction was really easy--I sent Jetflair a check and she sent me cool shiny dogtags. :) I think she does credit cards too. She also included a very nice thank-you note with a couple of great pictures (one of Mal that is posted on my fridge, one of Serenity hanging over my desk.)

Quality: What is the objective quality of the item?
Huh? I've been wearing them nonstop since I got them and they all still look brand new, even after a dousing in salsa after a particularly hilarious turn on the Appreciatin' Nathan thread.

Shininess: "Overall" rating. Were you happy as a pig in hwai when you saw what you got or was it more like "Well, okay, I guess.", or even "Wtf?"? I jumped up and down and did the happy dance.

FIVE STARS FOR POPLOLLIES.COM

I ordered a magazine. I got it in perfect condition, in a record number of days (like I said, mail to Alaska....erggh). Very easy transaction. And I also got a nice note thanking me for doing business with them and a bunch of freebies like trading cards. And the magazine was as shiny as depicted!!!

In general I've had nothing but good dealing with fellow Browncoats.

It will rise in perfect light.

SINGATE

Buying verse related merchandise has become something of an obsession for me over the last six months. That being said I will proudly reiterate comments I have made on other threads about these fine merchants.

As you stated in the original post Bluemoonstuff does some truly outstanding work. I purchased three of his t-shirts: Blue Sun, TG Freight, and the Independent's Flag. I really dig the distressed look and his designs are second to none. Received in less than a week if I remember correctly and definitely worth the money. He even threw in some free Blue Sun notepads and stickers. Great communication, I couldn't resist throwing in a Firefly quote when I ordered and when he sent me a confirmation he threw a quote right back at me. You just don't see things like that very often. A full five stars on all counts.

The first Browncoat I ever bought from was Jetflair. The first two dogtags were so good that I almost immediately ordered two more. It's fair to say if her products had not been any good I may have been put off from buying any further fan made merchandise. It's been awhile but I think the first order arrived in just under two weeks with the second taking about a week. Easily worth my money, shipping is included in the price of the products. Again, a full five stars.

The third vendor I purchased from is Tenthcrewmember. He sells so many things at his cafepress store it would be hard for any fan of the verse to not find something worth buying. I got two coasters, a Mudder's milk stein, and four magnets for my fridge. Once again I cannot remember how long before my goodies arrived but I think it was somwhere in the 7-10 day range. Worth my money on every piece I paid for, another five star rating.

Last but not least is Blue Sun Shirts. I've seen this guy taking some flack on other threads but I will only speak from my experience. I ordered one of the Hands of Blue shirts on April 24th fully aware that they would not be reprinted until May 1st. Amazingly I received my shirt on May 13th, that's pretty good in my book. High quality shirt and the design is excellent. The only thing he may want to improve on is communication, with no order confirmation e-mail nor "order has shipped" e-mail some people could get a bit twitchy. For that last part alone I have to say a rating of 4.5 is fair.

I'm currently looking to order one of those Troublemaker shirts from SSDesigner. I will be anxiously awaiting any reviews by other Browncoats.

I'll post some more reviews soon. I just wanted to say that I've been trying to contact SSDesigner.com for days now, because PayPal won't let me adjust the shipping fee (to Germany) and I'd like to order one of those shiny Troublemaker t-shirts.
