I got the Chosen Collection last month, and been workin' my way through the last two seasons (the two I hadn't seen yet), so I haven't seen FF/Serenity in like, A LONG TIME now, the longest stretch without since I first bought Firefly back in February of '05. I have about eight Buffy eps to go now. This time next week, I expect to do some serious Serenity catch-up!!!

What's the LONGEST any of y'all have ever gone on this wagon?

How are you getting along? Any vomiting or headaches?
Do you have other Joss-related material to fall back on?

It's been almost a month for me too and I'm going through SERIOUS withdrawl. I've finally got a coulple of days off next week and will probably have a marathon. (I do hum or sing The Ballad of Serenity almost constantly though.)

I'm probably going to get flamed and kicked off the site for this, but I've already had a couple of two to three month phases where I didn't watch any Firefly, followed by a sudden urge to watch all of the episodes again. At the moment I'm in the middle of such a phase. And I haven't seen Serenity in about four months, or whenever the DVD came out (just isn't Firefly for me).

I had a very busy month a while ago, but I usually don't go more than a week.

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

Man, I realized I had gone a week without Firefly and I only survived that because I've been watching fanvids! I was trying to abstain a little because a not-yet-browcoat friend was gonna come over to watch some eps with me. We finally got our schedules togehter and she came over today so I got my "fix". But a month?! No how! Even if I loaned out my set, I have everything copied on my computer for emergencies.

I can't bring myself to watch the show sometimes. Everytime I watch it, specifically one of the later episodes or the movies, I get depressed right when it ends. It's like, "That's it... no more". I hate the feeling, where you wanna do so much, anything that you can, fight, cry, any of the most extreme emotions just to show somebody how much you love the show, how much it means to you and how much you need it in your life.

But in the end, you're just a geek in his basement, giving a long winded, melodramatic speech to the FOX executives in your head, acting out fantasies of yourself being a billionaire and single handedly funding the effort to re-light "Firefly".

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I was going to ask if you were being held prisoner, or if some sick significant other was torturing you, but it seems you are otherwise busy.

I sometimes go a couple of weeks without watching an episode when I get busy, but when I get to watch I normally go through two or three episodes.

I can deny it all I want, but I am an addict.

I just started rewatching the series after a bit of a break. School and work only gives me so much time to watch the show, so I've been doing it kind of slowly. Yesterday I watched "Safe" and "Our Mrs. Reynolds". I don't know why I didn't dawn on this the first time, but Christina Hendricks performance is truly brilliant. You don't believe for a second that she is anything other than sweet, gentle Saffron (that is, up until the point where she knocks out the Captain). And I still can't help but collapse in a fit of helpless giggles when Book talks about the special hell. That by far is one of my favorite scenes in the entire series.

*sigh*

I have to stop typing now, because I'm getting depressed.

At last.

I haven't watched Firefly since I got the set it October last year after seeing Serenity. And I haven't seen Serenity since it came out on DVD in December. I got an Xbox 360 in December so that thing takes all my Firefly/Serenity time.

I sometimes go a couple of days and one time I went as long as a week not watching Firefly. But I go thru some serious withdrawal if I don't catch up with either the show or the movie. Usually my online friends and I will plan a virtual shindig and then we catch up.

I have to say I'm addicted as well. I am just as hooked on Firefly/Serenity/Mal as I was the first day I saw it/him.

And I don't want no cure!

Personally, there's no way I could have gone this long if I wasn't watching somethig Joss-like.
And last night I saw Nathan on a Buffy ep as Caleb- he was M E A N!!!!!

Very un-Mal like. Had nightmares.

Chrisisall, only a few days more...

I have seen those eps, Chris... Nathan is an awesome actor to have the range between Mal and Caleb.

And the man does comedy to boot!!

Ahh, your return to our shiny ship is just around the corner then.. hang in there and tell me what you think of all of Nathan's performance when you get done.

Yeah, Nathan was more than a mite creepy in that. I took a FF hiatus then...I had to wait to stop twitching and flinching from seeing him as Caleb.

Strangly enough, seeing Gina as the uber-evil in Angel didn't bother me anywhere near as much. And seeing Adam in a suit & tie just put me in shock.

So...my break lasted about four months. I was just way too squicked and didn't want to watch our BDH with a portion of my brain waiting for them to kill all the rest of the crew...slowly. *shiver*

I haven't seen either the BDS or the BDM in about a month. I'm waiting until I move into my apartment because the roomies want to watch the series, so I am kinda waiting to make it that much more enjoyable (I'm a pleasure delayer, I guess). Plus I just recently bought Battlestar Galactica Season One (supporting Sci-fi and Universal) and have been making my way through those, as I haven't even seen them before. Even though there has been this Firefly "drought" of sorts, I still visit this site pretty much every day during lunch.

I got 1 and 2.1, and am waiting feverishly for 2.2 to come out on DVD. How you Like it? I find the new BG to be a strange left/right mix, politically speaking, which is sorta refreshing, it tends to keep me off-balance- which I appreciate. Plus the Zoic FX are good as ever.

Let's see, actually going through Firefly, that would be almost a good solid 6 mo. or so...I forgot. Serenity? A month ago. I might end up watching it later this week since after listening to the soundtrack.

I know know, but it's the same with Buffy and Angel....but a bit longer...and right now I'm still in the middle of rewatching them.
