Just out of curiousity... Any Grey's Anatmoy fans here? Cause if they are I would just like to say "wow" about the two day season finale. And I would love to discuss the Meredith + Shepard=? problem. Or I'd love to know what you all think Alex is hiding from the rest of them. Why he is obnoxious one moment and totally sweet the next. And what you all think is going to happen to Izzy... poor poor Denny. Oh and what's going to happen to Christina and Burke

I'd love to discuss any number of those things.

I can honestly say that I haven't been that tense during a show since. well, since Serenity.

Also if you DON'T like Grey's Anatomy. I don't care. This is a post for people who like it. If you don't then just quietly walk away and dont' tell me how much you hate it. A respect your opinion but in this post i really don't care to hear it. This is a post for people who LIKE Grey's Anatomy. Thank you. (this whole paragraph is meant in the kindest way possible.

I LOVE Grey's Anatomy! Ditto to your "wow." I spent the last fifteen or so minutes of the season finale just screaming at my television.

Poor Addison! She deserves so much better than Derek. At least now maybe the hardcore Mer/Der fans will see that Derek is no better than Addison. He could have just signed the divorce papers and shipped her back to New York, but no, he's putting her through this nightmare. What an ass. I can't believe that I'm going to spend the summer liking Alex more than Derek. But Burke is my favorite of the guys! George is nice, but a little too pathetic - although I like where things are going with him and Callie.

And why are all these guys in love with Meridith? I'm not a Meridith-hater, but I just don't see her appeal to all of these hot/nice guys!

Oh poor Izzy. I always thought Denny was a little too sketchy to be completely adorable, but I am sad for her sake.

Ahhhhhh!

I love Grey's!

But we've only had about five eps in the UK on terrestrial. It's brilliant already. Fantastic characters, beautifully shot. Not a fan of the opening sequence though - with the red shoes. I think it makes it all seems a bit trivial like - ooh look there's a pretty girl who also happens to be intelligent.

So no spoilers please. I'm just enjoying getting into it and it's all new and shiny!

I love Grey's too! I missed a bunch of episodes toward the end of the season like where Finn came in. THe finale though was intense! Not as intense as the bomb episode but still. I started crying when we see Izzy curled up with Denny. It was soo sad and I knew he was going to go you know. Alex still loves Izzy, I know he does. The way he picked her up and held her and talked to her. I hope she will still be on the show cause who knows what they will do to Izzy. As for Derek and Meredith. He is still married so that whole thing shouldn't have happened! She is trying to move on and he is not letting her. He keeps looking at her like he does. and Addison (which happens to be my brother's name, he hates the fact that is belongs to a woman in this show!) I actually feel bad for her know and I started out not liking her at all. Yes she screwed up in the begining with cheating on Derek but she doesn't deserve this exactly she is trying to make it work. I like Finn as well and would like to see more of him. I like Derek too but not how he has been acting lately.

My mother is a huge Grey's Anatomy fan, so I ended up watching most of the season finale with her. For some strange reason, she didn't expect Denny to die, which I saw coming from day one. And to make things worse, she had the nerve to compare Denny death to Wash's! WTF???

Ahem. On a more positive note, I was happy to see that Georgie (my favorite character, he's adorable) has a girlfriend, she seems pretty cool. And I am completely fed up with Grey and McDreamy. I may have not liked Addison at first, but she really caught it this season.

Ah! I wanted to cry when Denny died. I loved him and Izzie together. *sob* Anyway, I think that Izzie will change her mind and come back and Alex is simply looking to redeem himself to her... maybe the gynecological stint has him rethinking his attitude. I also think that McDreamy + Meredith = inevitable. It's what the series is based on, for crying out loud!

So many things to say and yet I'm supposed to be working, so I'll just stick to one observation which is particularly relevant on this board.

I LOVED Alex's interview with the chief. He'd been acting like such an ass throughout the whole fiasco with the tube-cutting, and then he goes and gives a speech like that with his career on the line. "Because it's your freakin' team."

Why is that particularly relevant here? Well, it sounds an awful lot like "You're on my crew. Why're we still talking about this?" or "You turn on any one of my crew, you turn on me" don't you think?

Anyone have any other GA/Firefly parallels? Anyone see any other parallels between characters or relationships or situations in the two shows?

(Now that I've started thinking about it I keep seeing more parallels that are perhaps worth exploring, but gorramit I'm supposed to be working so I'll see what the rest of you come up with...)

OMG! yay! I'm not the only one seeing a few parallels. Did you also notice the similiarity of that whole scene to that of bushwacked? I nearly died laughing just at the looks on the chiefs face! Christina's and Meredith's were really sad though. I personally feel that Alex had something in his past that he's trying to forget about because there are certain moments, and not just ones where Izzy is around,where he is at least semi-human. I also think he's going to go into the gynocology field.

Wow...when I took a peak at the boards today this would be the very last thing I would expect to see here. I love Grey's. I'm in the medical field and I just love all medical dramas but this one is more on the medical side than the drama side unlike house...at any rate I loved the season finale. I honestly knew Denny was going to die...but I didn't think it'd be 'till they had gotten married or at least started to plan the wedding I always thought him to die at a more dramatic time like a day before the wedding or something of that nature. I thought they were gonna play on the whole Izzy Denny think for a while into the next season. As for Derek and Meridith when they actually kissed at the end I literally went "YES!" outloud that's how extremely excited I was. I am not a fan of that relationship its definately not my favorite. I don't like Finn that much I mean I know the way they paint him we're supposed to but there's just something about him that I'm not feelin. Derek has been acting like a jerk as of late but I mean I don't blame him I really think he's stuck between a rock and a hard place. He wants Meredith he loves her and he knows it but there's Addison who he's committed to and he cares enough about Addison not to leave her and he wants to be the good guy the guy who does the right thing. As the chief said he is a descent man and that's the image he tries to keep up which is why he's staying with Addison. At any rate I idenitfy more with George and I really got choked up when he was appologizing to her. I don't like his new girl I mean the whole "George is her mcdreamy" thing got to me and I started to like her but I'm just not a fan I honestly don't think that will last and I admit I wanted to see George and Meridith together for a little while (when they hooked up that was another time that I literally went YES!) I think the Burke/Christina thing will end up well and they will probably still run into a bump here and there but I think they're gonna be the longest lasting relationship. They'll bring izzy back though 'cause I think they have to she's too important a character. She may get another job some place else if at all possible and maybe the Chief will let this one slide but yeah I definately think she's gonna stay on the show because she has to be there for Alex 'cause that's gonna start picking up again and he's gonna make his big emotional speach about how he loves her we all see it coming. OK haha this got a bit too long and for that: my appologies.

While I am not a fan of the show, I will post of my wife's behalf, who is a HUGE fan. She couldn't believe it either. She was really disappointed that Christina (I think that's the right name) bailed on her boyfriend the surgeon who was shot in the head. She really didn't like that.

She also liked Izzy's (the long-haired blonde) dress and thought the prom was hilarious.

She was sad Denny died (her boyfriend).

I think that's it. Glad you guys have another show to enjoy. I'm just buying my time until Battlestar Galactica starts up again.
