Ok, the shame and guilt of it all is too much not to be totally honest about here: I haven't posted on this site for quite some time. And even then, I haven't dropped that many lines. I actually (go ahead and laigh) had to stumble around a bit before I figured out how to scrawl out this post. But the looks on the faces of those who happened to pass by me as I swore out of frustration in Chinese at my oft finicky computer. On to the point of this all, though. Even though I've been a part of this site and tried my best to keep up with it for quite some time (I've been reading the posts on it for a couple years, but just within the last year signed up as a member) I have a question, and it's one that will probably frustrate, annoy, and insult the honors of many of you. This Serenity Day (I came up with that cheesey word I used as the heading)...I've heard about it several times. I'm also vaguely familiar with the premises of it. But what, in as much detail as possible, is going to be going on on that day? I'm going to be visiting my girlfriend during the time i'll be on. But her town is a browncoat hotspot, so I want to be prepared. Because out here, even though the area is Firefly-esque, the fanbase is lacking. So any specs you guys can give me would be much appreciated.

On a side note, I'm big indo tirecting and editing, not to mention music. So I've actually made a Firefly music video. I was going to post the link on here, but I don't have a site that could hold it. So if anyone wants to take a peek, IM me on AOL Instant Messenger (it's the easiest way). I'm AltamBalla . Also I have plans to make another music video, but am lacking in clips. Let's just say "the supplies are pretty rudimentary" and have done with it. So if anyone has good clips they want to sharae with me, I'd be much obliged. I'm not picky about which clips. I'm only picky with the editing. And lastly (some of you are doubtlerssly tired of me by now) if anyone wants to hear a song that is probably very reminiscent of Mal's youth and upbringing, check out "Boondocks" by Little Big Town. Thanks for your time.

Check out the Serenity Day website at http://www.serenityday.org/ and the forum thats on it. Whats planned for that day is a mass purchasing of Serenity DVDs and letters to Universal, it is also the kick off of the Serenity Summer Campaign that has Serenity 'Versary on September 30th.

As to posting your video, try using YouTube at

/ as its fairly easy to use.

Agatsu's link is just about the most comprehensive account of what we're all doing that I've come across, I refer to it constantly.

You can also check out the Browncoat Events Forum to the right on the homepage here at FFF.net. There will be announcements of upcoming campaigns and events there at all times, if you post a question in there ,you will get an answer to how you can help, what needs done, etc. Besides the Serenity Day buying push, there is a Firefly Fortnight to buy the series on ITunes. There will be an announcement soon, on how we can all participate in that and make it work the best for us all.

We're glad you dropped back in! We're all hoping that this Summer of Serenity will make a difference.
And we need all the hands we can get.

Thanks much for the help. I'm pretty psyched for this thing. The idea of being within earshot of another browncoat, rather than having to talk halfway across the U.S. to them is pretty exciting. You can bet I'm going to get as many people in on this as I can (which depending upon my luck might be very few). But that's what we do. They start the war, we volunteer. Anyway, hopefully I can get the video up soon. As I say, anyone who wants to donate clips to the cause will be welcomed, but those who just wanna watch the videos are also welcomed. Thanks again for the help in getting me settled back in here.
