Since people have been asking, and I apologize if this is redundant: Yes, the DVD buy is still on.

There are also Equality Now Screenings all over the world - BUT THAT IS AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT EFFORT AND NOT AFFILIATED with www.serenityday.org or any DVD Buy events. If, at any time, it has seemed that the two efforts are intertwined this was not intentional.

Back to the DVD Buy: There are lots of things you can do with an extra DVD ranging from gifts to raffles to a backup for when your buddy never returns Serenity to a library donation.

I, for one, will be buying at least two as it's so close to my brother's birthday!

Even though the two efforts are not affiliated doesn't mean the information shouldn't all be in one place.

In fact having links to and information about, both of them side by side might help people realize that they are different even more than just saying that they are.

They're just pissed because people are half-informed about the 2 events and therefore think they're linked. For that reason alone, there's no need to apologize for redundancy.

So, AGAIN! The Serenity Now/Equality now screenings ( www.cantstoptheserenity.com ) are purely for charity, and completely unrelated to the S-Day ( www.serenityday.org )effort, which is about...

- BUYING AS MANY SERENITY DVDS AS POSSIBLE
Not the Firefly box. Of course no one is keeping you, but this is about making money for UNIVERSAL (not FOX) so that they see that a continuation of FF or a sequel to the BDM is gonna make them a profit. So buy as many Serenity DVDs as you can, from whatever vendor you prefer. Get at least one from Amazon.com, if possible, so that the BDM gets a high ranking. This is also a good way to see how successful S-Day was.

- SPREADING THE WORD
So what to do with all those shiny DVDs, now? Give'em away! Give them to uninitiated friends, donate them to libraries or the troops in Iraq, leave them on the bus - doesn't matter how, just give people who haven't heard of this shiny franchise the ultimate fix.
As far as I remember, there was some sort of flyer planned that people can download and put in the DVD case (or on it), with a note about what S-Day is all about, and where to go for more info.

I guess that would sum up the essential information. Don't geek out too much since it tends to turn people off.

And of course don't forget about the unrelated screenings - It's a chance to help CHARITY, see the BDM on the big screen and make Joss proud of us on his birthday. So even if you can't attend a screening, please donate a buck or 50 on June 23rd. I recently read that Equality Now is in dire need of funds, so go crazy.

Please correct me if I'm wrong on any of that or forgot something.

1) Buy the DVD for someone as a gift
2) Buy a diffrent version (australian or something)
3) Buy the HD-DVD
4) Just shutup and buy another reguler one.
