TRISTAN

First off, welcome to the 'verse! Glad you found your home!

Now, to the hourglass...see, it's a representation of the thoughts and feelings of the Browncoats. It's all about time...we have been waiting, and will continue to wait, until it returns. Yeah, that's it! That's what it means!

Seriously, I am not realy sure...just thought I would welcome you, and drop a bit of humour in here at the same time. I am sure there is someone who knows...

I'll have to second the song of welcome =)

As to the hourglass, while Tristan has an interesting suggestion, I'd tend to believe that it has something to do with Inara's hourglass that keeps time for her, erm, diplomatic visits. As far as in-'verse references, of course. For us, Tristan's idea is probably more applicable =p

Amiton.

Welcome to the best place in the verse'

"Love. You can do all the math in the 'Verse, but you take a boat in the air you
don't love, she'll shake you off sure as a turnin' of worlds. Love keeps her in
the air when she oughtta fall down. Tells you she's hurtin' 'fore she keens.
Makes her a home." Mal

lol thanx

Possibly. That would certainly be a intrusive way for her to keep track of time, especially when she needs to rendezvous with the ship.

BTW--where'd you see them charms? They sound all manner of interesting.

Welcome Juniper...can't think what's keeping FollowMal, but anyway the charms are lovely. Now to talk my husband into buying them for me:)
Folks here are the best so just jump right in an enjoy and always feel free to ask questions. Also, remeber we may bark at each other a little but none of us bites and when it comes down to it, we all stand together!

You're only young once, but you can be immature any time!
