I managed a conversion of sorts! My poor husband has been dragged into the madness. He denies it, but we had a rather fierce and heated discussion on 'verse politics and the Guild etc last night.

Does anyone else have a spouse that they are corrupting?

Mine was kinda the opposite, SpaceAnJL...it was my wife who was a Whedon follower, and she got me interested in Serenity first, then I had to see Firefly. I now have her out-"geeked" as far as that goes...she still has me beat with Buffy and Angel (I liked Angel, too). She chuckles whenever I quote Firefly and says things like "Aw, is my baby obsessed?"...yes, yes I am! We have not really gotten into a heated discussion regarding Firefly, but she did manage to drag me into a conversation regarding the philosophy of Buffy...and I did not realize I was doing it until she started laughing.

Aw, that's cute. I guess geeks make the best couples, since they literally NEVER run out of something to talk about.

The Serenity Summer Campaign is on, baby - prepare to kick some serious pigu!
September 30th is Serenity 'Versary! Be there or be a purple-belted poop-head. (<- not the official slogan.)
I'm so into Firefly, my butt glows in the dark.

I knew my wife was hooked when I came home from work and she greeted me at the door with "I can't find disk three." It was only after I looked at her with a big grin that she thought to ask "So how was your day?" afterward.

We were in the car a few weeks ago, and our three kids were getting rowdy in the back, so I said in a very calm but loud voice "Bai-tuo, an-jing-eedyen," and they immediately shut up and behaved.

My youngest daughter hates her new nick name: "Nyen ching-duh".

They have all succumbed to the Firefly spell now. Their journey toward the 'verse side is complete!

I enlisted the help of another browncoat friend to convert my husband. Our friend Mike helped me convince him to watch Firefly and now he's a fan too...not as obsessed as I am ( obviously) but still a browncoat:)

I choose to rise instead of fall- U2

I've got her refering to every party or get together as a "Shindig".

Sometimes she says "Shiny". But Gorramit, she hardly uses "Gorram" or "Gorramit". GORRAMIT!

Zoe: Planet's coming up a might fast.
Wash: That's just 'cause I'm goin' down too quick. Likely crash and kill us all.
Mal: Well, if that happens, let me know.
