I was wondering if anyone knew if any of the Serenity sets had survived the process and/or whether it's worth visiting Universal Studios just because of that movie? In general I'm not much for rides etc, but I thought that... well, if there was an outside chance of bumping into part of the ship...

That is a good question. I am not really sure but I would like to know the answer as well for the next time I go to Universal Studios. I hope some of the sets survived and if not, where are they know?

Someone posted photos of the hover-mule
a while back. They were taken during a
Universal tour.

The sets for the ship are gone, as a
matter of necessity.

Props and costumes are gone, too.

The Ariel Medivac craft was found in a
junkyard in Mojave and rescued for a
restoration effort, but it's not at
Universal.

If it isn't in use, maybe you'll get a
look at the street they used for Shindig?
Someone else may comment on that.

Don't know what else to tell you. Surely
somebody knows more details.

You could drive the highway where they
shot the Reaver chase, and visit Diamond
Ranch school, where the Miranda scenes
take place.

Still trying to think of ways to
be a 'Verse tourist...

Thanks for the input so far -
Hadn't thought of the non-Universal studios locations to visit but that might be more fun than actually visiting Universal studios! I assume that whatever Universal has, it won't have stuff from the TV series, since that was a F*X gig.
Thanks!

I'm headed to L.A. next week, and I thought about visiting Universal for just the same reason. I'm not fond of the rides either, but I'll be looking for things to do while the hubby is in a convention...

I heard that the sets have been folded up, for instance WHEN there's a sequel! But I think that's just a rumor.

As long as they are folded up and not destroyed!
