Hello my browncoat friends. Today I had the day off of work. When my wife arrived home from her job around 1pm we went off to the comicbook store a friend of mine owns. Thought I might be able to pick up the TPB comic of our BDH. Wore my Serenity shirt there too.

Well when we arrived and went in there were about half a dozen ppl there. After about 5 minutes he noticed the shirt I was wearing. " Nice shirt" he says. " I love that show." At that time he didn't know he was talking to a Fireflyfan.net browncoat. He soon found out. In about 2 minutes we had everybody in his shop voicing the praises of this GREAT show.We spent the next half hour talking all things Firefly/Serenity.

"It was the best day ever." Well best day since June 23. Anyway just a little story I wanted to pass along.

PS: He's not much into joining fan sites like this but thats something I'm going to work on.

Any day that doesn't end with you alone, naked, and unarmed in the middle of a desert. . .

C'mon, Cybersnark, any day that starts with Mal naked anywhere has to be a good day.

Course, any day that starts with Jayne naked would be even better...

That would be where the "alone" and "middle of the desert" come in.

95 here today with heat index predicted of 102-no I'm not in the desert (Mal wouldn't be alone if it was the desert). It's just eastern NC starting the "monsoon season" of hot, humid days and big chances of thunderstorms in the afternoons.

A shiny day anyway-starting the grill in about an hour and watching the shuttle go up today too. So it is a GOOOOOOD day.

From about last Friday to yesterday it's been between 30 and 32 degrees (approximately 85-90 in foreign money) here, with blazing sun all day and temperatures only dropping to about 22 at night. Very hard to sleep. Today, slightly cooler (only slightly), very high humidity and occasional storms. I went out for my sandwich half an hour ago, just before the last cloudburst started, and got back quarter of an hour ago soaked through. I'm still soaked through! Should have gone out at 1.30 instead of 2, but I was busy... and I dyed my hair the other day and I bet my top's now got a blue-black stain....
