Okay folks, it's time to 'fess up. What movie is it, that while you know it's horrible, you still feel compelled to watch it whenever you run across it?

For me it..."Beastmaster." (Just the first one, mind you.)

Next?

"Fire Birds", with Nick Cage, Tommy Lee Jones, and Sean Young. Simply *HORRIBLE* movie. So bad, in fact, that it's fun to watch it, just to cringe at the abysmal acting and dreadful dialog. It's one of my very own favorite "personal MST3K" flicks - when it's on, I tend to make up my own lines for it.

I really should buy it on DVD.

My other favorite ultimate bad movie is "Showgirls".

basically anything with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Oh, and also, I think "Stargate" was an awful movie, but I can't help it.

Also, "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Legally Blonde"

Terrible movie from 1984. Supergirl. Stupid plot, and a lot of stupid characters except for the woman playing Supergirl.

They found the right woman and put her in the right costume, and surrounded her in a stupid movie.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Let's see, the horrible low budget zombie spoof movie "Hide & Creep" tops the list.

I am pretty much a sucker for any western or zombie movie. Now they just need to make a xombie western.

I'll be damned, I didn't think many had heard of that movie. I'd have to say that's one of my guilty pleasures too. I even have the theme song on my computer.

I'm a big fan of slasher movies too. My favorite (besides Freddy Krueger) is Night Of The Demons. Complete and utter go se, but it does have a song by Bauhaus in it.

Super Mario Bros. (Loved it as a kid)
Surf Ninjas (Also loved it as a kid)
Sidekicks (Chuck Norris, common!)
Hercules in New York (Arnold's first movie)
The Wizard (Video game nut here)
Power Rangers (The first movie, it somehow inspires me and my buddy when we get stuck film making)
Constantine (I really liked it)

Probably some more I like that are considered "Bad", but if you have fun with a movie, mission accomplished.

I forgot a couple.

Most of Kevin Smith's early work (Clerks through Dogma) is another guilty pleasure. Especially Mallrats, which was the first movie I saw by him.

EDIT: And in my personal opinion, Robin Hood: Men In Tights doesn't belong on this list. Or anything by Mel Brooks for that matter.

I liked the Star Wars prequels... even "The Phantom Menace." I watched it so many times I think it broke my VCR. I feel like I can't call myself a true blue SW fan saying I liked them, but whatever. I also like any romantic comedies, although I'm embarassed to admit it. I could watch "Two Weeks Notice" "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" and "Sweet Home Alabama" on a continuous loop.

I have a tendancy to watch those teen movies like 10 Things... and She's All That if they're on TV. I also like Not Another Teen Movie in a superficial, non-thinking sort of way...and it helps that Chyler Leigh is gorgeous.

I used to like Top Gun in a similar way, but it's grown on me, and now I classify it as a good movie.

I'll pick a bone with ya about Men in Tights, but you forget that horribly stilted Robin Hood serial the BBC did back in the 80's. (Yeah, yeah, it wasn't a movie...I know, but ya hadda go mention Robin Hood. ) As much as I like Paul Darrow, I just couldn't watch more than the first episode.

Being a science fiction nut I will give anything a try. One that I have watched more than once. Well many times more than once is "Battle of the Worlds", staring Claude Rains. It is foreign, which means badly dubbed. And Rains is the only actor with any talent. But the premise is good. It just was done so poorly. Now you see what you did. I brought it out and will probably watch tonight.
