Was it in the show or in the movie that Jayne was wearing a khaki colored shirt with all the patches on it (one of the patches was an upside down Sergeant First-Class if that helps)? And if it was the show, which episode was it?

I'm getting my hands on all the patches and I want to reference his shirt to make sure I put them in all the right places.

I know I could watch the whole series and movie again to find them, but I did that two weeks ago, and as tempting as it is to do it again, I won't have the time necessary for a few weeks at least. Can anyone help me?

I can't find it! Gorrammit!
I thought it was a jacket, though? I'll keep looking. I'm pretty sure it was the series, though.
No, you know I think it was the movie, in the Maidenhead! I wish I was at home and had access...

I know the scene where you see the shirt (or jacket if that was the case, I can't remember exactly) was in the kitchen/dining area of the ship and Jayne is sitting at the table. I do appreciate you looking.

Founded it! Movie, Maidenhead and following scene in the kitchen. Khaki-green shirt with patches, worn open and jacket-style over another shirt.

PhoenixRose beat me to it, but I know you can find some, not all, of the patches here: http://mysite.verizon.net/resp06h7/

Sometimes, I laugh. Other times, you make me laugh. The rest a' the time, I'll be in Jayne's bunk.

That's the site I ordered them from. Now all I have to do is get a set of wings, the rank tab on his left shoulder (it's the same as the US Army Corporal, but the tab is different, looks like it might be British army), and figure out what the pin is he's wearing on the right collar.

Thanks. All my experience with military insignia is from being in the Army. I know I've seen that tab before, I just can't place where. I'm thinking it's a European country because most of my time in the military was spent over there, so here's hoping.

If anyone is interested, I could post an image of the shirt when it's done (will be awhile, I garuntee it).

I think the pin is one he nicked from the bloke in the Lilac bank. (The one with the gravity issues) When he opens the guy's shirt, and finds the uniform, there should be a good screen cap of it. Otherwise, there's a good still from the Maidenhead.

I am, and I'm glad to see someone here got the reference. Not many people do, suprisingly.

The babe with the power...

What power?...

The power of voodoo...

Who do?

You do.

Do what?...

Remind me of the babe...

Is that what those gorram lyrics are? I've wondered.
I suppose I could have looked them up. The glory of the net.

It has been so long since I saw that movie...

I was only little when I saw that film and I thought someone was going to steal my baby brother, scared my for ages.

Nowadays I'd just hand him over and ask for a finders fee.

I could probably match you, memory-wise. At least according to my two best friends and my mother I have a bottomless pit of a memory.
I just never understood what he was singing before "The power of voodo". I have excellent hearing, perfect hearing, I can hear at frequencies some folk can't hear... And yet I can't always understand the lyrics of songs without reading them. Oh well.

I love that movie more than I can say. I bought the collector's edition on DVD and I still watch it occasionally. Gives me warm, fuzzy feelings.

Mind you, I got a shock when I saw the behind the scenes documentary and spotted Dr. Crusher from Star Trek organising the dancing!

Yeah, I finally get that "dancing doctor" joke they made during the series.

Dark Crystal is another great movie, but Laberynth stole my heart. Well truthfully Ludo stole my heart The songs were great too.

I never spell that right... it's not a word that crops up much in English classes

In one episode of Trek the doc gives Data dancing lessons. He asked her because she had won lots of dancing competitions - a fact she was keeping secret from the crew because "I don't want to be known as 'The Dancing Doctor' again!"

I am such a geek!
