Is it bad that what she said made perfect sense to me?

I'm pretty positive this has been a thread before, but ... anyone know if there is any likelihood of Joss doing a DC of Serenity? I would dearly love to hear a commentary of him and Nathan together ... filming is hard work, but it looks like they had so much fun doing it!

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I would say no. Joss has been noted several times as saying that "Serenity" appears as he wanted it to and that there will be no "director's cut".

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

Browncoat1 is correct. Joss has stated on numerous occasions that Universal gave him autonomy in the editing room, and the film we saw in theaters and now have on DVD was the best that he could make it. It is his Director's Cut.

However, I would not be surprised if we one day get a Special Edition with more extras and commentaries, and I think it inevitable the same will happen with the Firefly set as well.

i read recently that firefly is slated to be released in HD. With a new format, there's an excuse for new goodies to entice people to buy it. maybe we'll get new commentaries at the least.

The HD upgrade you heard about is for broadcast on Universal High Definition, a cable/satellite station. At this time, there is no word on an HD-DVD or Blu-Ray release of Firefly.
