Two interesting tidbits there, from my point of view:

Interesting that he phrased it as Serenity rather than Firefly, and I wonder if there's an indication in that as who he thinks will take the next step with the 'Verse (ie, Universal rather than Fox).

Hey everybody!
a couple a questions I have.
maybe I'm being a ignorant or just miss informed

do we maybe have a commity or body of people who try to stay in touch with Joss's Rep.or someone along those lines,to find out what we as a the fan base can do to help out ?(besides the usual,screenings, buying merchandise,ect.)

if not ,should we ,would it help and is there anything we could actually do?

I don't want to step outta line (please let me know if I do),but it seems like we all tend to focus more on the problem, when we should try to come up with a working solution that may help to get the ball rolling.
We generally all hate

F*x for what they pulled on our beloved Joss and Crew, and we all have a pretty good understanding of what has happened.

I for one am not willing to give up on it just because of some bumps in the road!
Keep up with the conversions' sales
,ect.- but there has to be more we can do.

I agree. If we all know the fox (mis)handling of FF was a joke, insiders must know this. Someone should be doing something somewhere.

Nope, SeaOtter I didn't mean you. I never take offense at real teasing or real suggestions.

Only thing I take offense at are folks who deliberately try to make the board a bad place and then revel in it. And that is NOT you.

I was just teasing back at Cybersnark, who is intelligent and fun and was being sarcastically funny. I like funny.

All the stuff you've asked and talked about are valid discussions and questions. We need to be talking about that and not those bickering discussions that are filling the threads.

Please when we open the new section, be sure and post in there with any questions, ideas, suggestions and help you'd like to contribute.

To add to this already great, well positioned and reasoned thread: Keep in mind that FOX did not get quite what it wanted from Joss. They asked for dimestore novel and got War and Peace. See the movie Barton Fink for a good take on this showbiz mentality.

So, from the very beginning, this entire thing we love so much was an odd duck and only getting, well, odder. Seeing what FOX did to it the first time, how desperate are we to see them take another crack at it?
