Not sure if this has been posted, but it's a brand new interview with Mr. Fillion himself- and he reveals he owns a cat. Only a truly great man could be a bachelor and admit that to the world. So cute!

Now that's just downright shiny. :) I wonder what his cat's name is... I wonder if he or she is fat like mine.

That's awesome, Teach. I love all animals, but I think it's particularly cool when a guy admits his love for cats. It just shows a deeper, confident side in my opinion. :)

I read somewhere that the cat's name is Bad Cat and he apparently "came with the house".

And as the proud owner of 13 (yes, that's a one and a three) cats, I too love it when a guy loves cats! I especially love it that my husband does, or we would all be in the doghouse by now!

Cats are a good choice for a person with a busy career that involves a lot of traveling. I work alot of hours and if I had a dog, the poor wee thing would be so miserable.

Cats are happy to see you, and just as happy to not see you. Well, within reason, of course. Providing adequate food, fresh water, and, um, ventilation is important for kitty happiness.

Bad Cat, huh? Cool! Everytime you say the cat's name, it's like it's been up to something diabolical.

That's cute. I was kinda hoping the cat was named Muffin or something, though. It just makes it funnier to think of the tough Captain Mal cuddling a cat with a cutsie name. :) Do you happen to know where you read that?

I've owned some great kitties , too ! Or , more to the point , they've 'owned' me !

So, our shiny Captain finds himself owned by a kitty ! Feels secure about it ? Good ! Nathan Fillion , deep and confident !

Does anyone remember an ancient TV series called B.A.D. Cats ? Starred starlet Kim Basinger , my little brother was bonkers about it !

My memory was jogged by the Nathan-ism...

The photo they used in the article is rather interesting. It looks like one of the fan photos when some fans stowed away on the 'Versal Studios Tour ride while Serenity was filming and got to meet Nathan, Jewel and Alan (I think). Wonder where the writer got the photo from.

Wish I could remember where I read it, but I can't. I'll post it if I come across it again.

"Bad Cat." Or so he said at Moonlight Rising. The cat came with the house. And knowing what a good guy Nathan is ...that cat is HUUUUUGE. He would spoil it!

And just like IHEARTFIREFLY said you are a truly great man. Like Nathan. Great men care about things besides themselves.

Cats are great too. All pets are great.

I have a bunny rabbit.

I wonder if Kaylee isn't a pet person because I am not sure Mal could keep her from having one if she wanted one.

KAELE

Actually, I believe he called it "Dirty Cat". When I was at Moonlight Rising, I think I mentioned something about how since he works so much and is away filming alot that having a dog would be kinda hard, but got the impression that he wasn't really a dog person. (not that there's anything wrong with that!)

Cats are much easier to arrange a sitter for.

I can't remember if he told me if he had pets as a kid. I want to say yes, but it was a few months ago and I had that "Oh, my god, Nathan's sitting there staring at me in the eyes and we're having a conversation" running through my mind instead.

But the cat definitely "came with the house" (or so he says). I don't know if that means it's an outside cat that he feeds (which would explain the name) or an inside cat.

Being a dog and cat person, I think it's still cute.

I'm just really impressed that you had the presence of mind to actually bring up a topic of conversation like pets when in the presence of Mr. Fillion! I, for one, just worked on not throwing up. He has a sort of mesmerizing stare when he talks or listens to you that takes away proper speech, it seems.

Even if you don't remember his answer, that's really neat that you got to talk about it. :)
