I just checked out the new iTunes Store, thinking I might download the 640x480 version of Serenity (Episode 1). Looks like you can no longer download the full season, and episodes 1 and 11 are missing. Can anyone else confirm this? Any thoughts? Is it a bug or is something else going on?

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

Seems you are right. They don't list either "Serenity" or "Trash." Both are available from the new Amazon Unbox download, and your first download there is free, so I suggest you check that out.

I'd love to, but it I'm on a Mac, and apparently UnBox doesn't support Mac. (I hear it was Apple's decision, not Amazon's, but I'm not sure.)

Speaking of iTunes, has anyone downloaded the new version 7? I just did and I think it's going to be trouble. I'm running a Windows box that has seen better days, but it's still decent, and iTunes 7 was just eating up my system resources. I was just surfing the web and it seriously skipped during playback 3 times in as many songs! iTunes 6 never did that. And the look is totally different, but I'm sure I could get used to that. Thoughts anyone? Sorry if I totally nerd-jacked this thread, but oh well.

Still missing, as of today (9/16/06).

I did manage to get Boot Camp and load up the Unbox video, which was very nice quality, if crippled with DRM. (There are ways around that! ) Looks like it uses the WMV3 / WVC1 codec, which is not officially supported on the Mac, but MPlayer or VLC should be able to handle it (relatively?) soon.

Looks like iTunes 7 is using a lot more 3d graphics and acceleration-type stuff. Perhaps there's a way to turn some of it off? Also, it may have been trying to download album art in the background. I think they're always trying to clean their GUI, but it can take a while to find the right button when they're in all four corners. I miss the green music note in the icon, but the more organized sidebar is nice.

Hey, they're up now! Nevermind. Must have been a simple mistake.

Yeah, you really don't strain the GPU though when you have it in normal playlist mode. I also realized that when you download album art in iTunes 7, it doesn't append the mp3 file with the jpeg or whatever pic file, it stores it in your iTunes folder in a proprietary format. That's just ridiculous...DRM on album art?

I agree about the buttons being scattered to the wind, not to mention they removed the equalizer and visualizations buttons. Didn't mind the blue music note instead of green though, although I had to re-learn which icon to click on.
