I never read any of the books you've mentioned. I've read Dune & lots of Bradbury but I've always leaned towards horror. Like Stephen King,Clive barker & Anne Rice ( before she became a sell out ).I'm also big on mythology from around thw world. .

I used to read Rice. Can't do King. His writing style drives me up the wall.

I have read a few Dune. Was a big fan back in school. Haven't gotten back to them in years.

I used to read Lumbly too. Kinda Horror but in a Fantacy kinda way. Vampires and other world type of stuff.

Never read Harry Potter. It just never appealed to me. I got into Jordan for a while, but I just sort of stalled on him. My current favorites are Tad William's Memory, Sorrow and Thorn trilogy, and Goodkind's Sword of Truth. I'm an escapist, and where better to escape to than a world which doesn't exist in any way, shape, or form, where people's problems are way harder to deal with than yours?

And isn't this thread getting a bit cumbersome? Perhaps it's time for Tristan or MsG to make a new one?

I'd do it if I knew how to post links. I'm as techno-savvy as your average Mennonite.

Yeah, but it was like, I'm done with this, this is over. Sort of a closure thing for me.
