Intersting...very intersting. BUT, and this is quite a big but: ..i have no idea whats going on!!!!

No idea who tha characters are, or what they do and no mention of what the plot is about! (Why were the guys in his house, what was the gun fight about?) Maybe inserting some captions, or some quick scences to show whos who would make it flow more (check out some fan trailers and *uh* THAT offical one to get idea what i mean  ).

Also the sound needs a small brush up (gunshots nearly blew my ear drums out, while the character speak and background music was fare too quiet).

Other than that: i'm happy Its always excellent to see a new fan film break out, and a Firefly one in the sea of Starfleet and Imperial shows. Absoutly shiny, and hopefully you'll be the first of many more original fan films!!

Looks like I'll have to watch it when I get home... whenever I try to log in or simply access the website I get the 'Precondition Failed' message.

oh we are not a film, fan show. and you are not the first to mention that the trailer really doesn't show any story arc. I am going to bring it up to our editors. I believe this one was by our first time camera man, who is great. But hey, still needs to work on it.

but thanks for showing interest there :)

Before I make minor criticisms, I think it looks really shiny - having made some video myself in the past, I know how tricky it can be, and you've done a great job.

But a few things I think need polish:

1. As mentioned above, there's no real arc to the trailer - perhaps some voiceover, or text, to explain the background would help here?

2. I think it's too long for a trailer. I would cut it down to 30-45 seconds personally.

3. You are desperately in need of some muzzle-flashes on your guns - not sure if this is possible for you, but it would make all the difference.

muzzle flashes just have not been added as of yet. this was put together quickly because over last weekend we were invited to do a panel at V-con a Vancouver Sci Fi/Fantasy con. I am going to send an email to the appropriate people as we speak to voice these concerns tho, and I do know the man editing our episode is also working on a trailer, so we should have another one up sooner than later

Hey Samson. This is so good to see. I can't download it at the moment - site must be busy - but I'm excited to know that y'all have gotten this far! Congratulations!

well, well. I've been checking up on you guys for a long time, I'm Saturn VI on your website. I know from experience how much work filming and editing can be. It took me a year to finish a two hour documentery about a trip to thailand (beautiful place, was very upset when the coup happened).
Not that it's much help, but the key is to not get overwhelmed by the task at hand.. Handy that the firefly style is handycam.
Despite the confusing trailer, I like the look of the show, and most importantly, I love the fact that you're actually doing it!
Browncoats are clearly a different breed of fan.

No, I am not insane, I am crazy. Thank you for asking.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I like the trailer. It is interesting, but as my peers have pointed out, there are several things that could be done to catch and hold the interest of those viewing it:

- work the plot of the story into the trailer

- the sound needs a little tweaking

- a finished trailer w/ special effects (muzzle
flashes, etc)

Other than these points, I think it looks really good. I can't wait to see the finished product.
