SWEETESTHAT

Hi all! I'm having a bit of trouble with my image hosting, and wonder if anyone's got advice.

I've made some pretty avas out of screencaps of Jayne, both jpgs and gifs, optimized in PhotoShop 7 and running about 3 KB each. Shiny, right? But when I post them to my image hosting site ( www.imagecave.com) they go all fuzzy and indistinct. I consistently turn off the site's re-optimization feature, since I do that on my own. But no matter what I do, the small avas come out badly.

I'm a bit hesitant to bring this to the company's attention since pretty much all my avas are screencap-based and therefore of somewhat dubious copyright status. If anyone has solutions (even if it's just a new free image hosting site), please let me know.

Thank you!

You could try somewhere like Flickr or Imageshack.com.

Alternatively, see if your ISP offers you webspace with your account (most do) and dump them on there.

Thanks to all who replied! I think part of the problem was AOL 9 Optimized settings (gorramn program updates itself and doesn't tell me it's gonna go optimizing my pics into go se ). Suddenly, my little pics look better... though I'm also gonna try Photobucket and see how they do.

Yup, it's good ol' AOL. But it's fixed now, thanks to the tutorial I found on Photobucket.

I'm going to keep experimenting to see image host looks the best.

Sorry about the many posts, and thanks again for the help!
