Hey, Browncoats. My boyfriend and i just became parents! (Not in a biological sense, thankfully.) We adopted a beautiful gray tabby boy kitten. But a name isn't coming to us easily. We've been calling him Little One for the last few days, and now we're wondering: Is the Chinese translation for Little Brother half as cute as "mei-mei," Little Sister? Or does anyone know any other kitten-appropriate Chinese endearments? Help?!
Thanks, C.

Oh, i am a tweaked one, yes i am...

HELL'S KITTEN

Dìdi (弟弟) for "younger brother." (??)
Xiǎo māo for "little cat" (literally) = Xiǎomāo (小猫) for "kitten."
Generally, I believe anything where the name is repeated twice (e.g. "Mèi-mei") is a sign of endearment.

Naturally I misread that as "litter cat".

"Well, here I am...Does that seem right to you?"

Pictures maybe? I love em when they're small and vulnerable and need you for everything. Because after they get a certain age they get that arrogance all cat's get.

"You want me to come over there? Just who the hell do you think you are? You want to touch my magnificence you better get on your hands and knees and slither on over here or forget it. I ain't no dog."

Pretty much sums it up.

If I'm a bitch, then life just got interesting
