What band's music do you think best epitomizes the browncoat philosophy?

My pick is Motorhead. Three against the world for 30 years, influenced hundreds of bands, and always an opening act, but never changed their fiercely anti-establishment stance.

I'd love to hear what you all think?

Simon: "Were there any Feds?"
mal: "No, no Feds, just an honest brawl between folk."

See, now I see Jayne much more as an AC/DC man.

Why are we still talking about what's already been decided?

Stan Rogers.
(WHO??!!)
Well, it was the first thing to pop into my head.
Canadian Folk GOD, that's who!
Sadly, he died in his prime. (I have a tendency to discover artists and shows I like after it's too late to enjoy seeing them bring forth more good stuff.)
His brother Garnet Rogers still plays a mean fiddle. Check out Fogarty's Cove recordings to find them.
Songs about the average working Joe. Humor, tears, just keep going attitude.
Did I mention the low, deep voice like smoky aged whiskey? Mellow, with just a bit of rumble.
As my aged Italian great aunt used to say about Caruso: "My navel is quivering".
I'll stop now.

Ted Nugent. Seems to suit the mood of the show somewhat. Especially Jayne, I can see him as a HUGE fan of The Nuge.

I think of Jayne listening to Johnny Cash, and sympathising to "A Boy Named Sue".

Hmm... Interesting concept... Time to re-write some song lyrics.

I can see that! I can see that very easily! I still see him more as an AC/DC man, tho!
