A Flanvention is any gathering/convention some or all of the cast of Firefly/Serenity attend, Also, MASSIVE loads of fans or as Nathan put it, "Flans." I think Summer and Jewel just got back from Oz, not sure. There's a Serenity Australia website which was set up by the studio: www.serenitymovie.com.au

They also tend to do UK conventions - www.starfury.co.uk

Sadly this is the last US Serenity/Firefly convention due to lack o' interest, I believe.
