Been watching the Firefly Series again, noticed something interesting this time.

With the western theme, there is quite a peck of gun-play. Which episode has no firing of guns?

Alliance wave stun guns count in this question.

STOWEAWAY

Okay, it's late and I'm super tired but I'm going to take a stab at this and say SHINDIG. Because we let my 6-yr-old watch that episode and I can't imagine I'd let him see it if it had the standard Firefly gunplay. There were plenty of guns shown but none fired. Just a good old-fashioned sword duel, right?

what about Bushwacked? I know Jayne gets suprised, and the the Reaver dude gets strangled, but no actual firearm is shot, :smile:

well except the huge missile launcher at the end...

Does an Alliance Cruiser Missile Launcher count as well? :crap:

Well, in Bushwacked the survivor/Reaver does get shot by Jayne, which is why he's bleeding when Mal finds him in the vent. The gun play isn't shown but it is heard.

So I'd go with Shindig.

I'm thinking we'll rise again!

Another question.

Name which episode(s) where no one on the crew is shot or wounded. Hint, in Ariel, Jayne is wounded three times, by River with a kitchen knife, once by the Alliance with a pulse gun and also by Mal with a wrench, so it would not be in the list.

Ok to finish this thread off, here are all the crew woundings I can recall.

Do not read further if you are worried about spoilers.

Serenity (pilot) Simon - punched by Mal Kaylee - shot by Dobson in the abdomen Simon - punched by Mal again Book - hit and beaten by Dobson Zoë - shot by Whitefall gunman in the chest, knocked down and out, but protected by armor. Bruised? Simon - Dazed from jumping on Dobson Mal - Shot in the right arm (graze) by Patience.

The Train Job Mal - Bruised knuckles from bar fight Jayne - shot in the right leg by Alliance Fed Mal - Stabbed in right upper chest by Crow's thrown knife

Bushwacked No visible wounds, though Jayne was jumped by the derelict's 'survivor.' Not sure if this would count.

Shindig Mal - cut on left arm, left cheek, stabbed in abdomen by Wing's sword.

Safe Book - shot by random bullet in chest River - backhand slap from the Patron, cut lip? (not sure)

Our Mrs Reynolds Wash - kicked in the head by Saffron note - I'm not counting drugging as a wound, but both Mal and Inara were drugged by Saffron

Jaynestown Simon - Beaten by Stitch

Out of Gas Zoë - injured by engine explosion Mal - shot in abdomen by Stern

Ariel Jayne - slashed with butcher's knife by River River - backhand slapped by Jayne, cut lip Jayne - shot by Alliance pulse gun, bruise on left forehead Jayne - clobbered with large wrench by Mal, cut on right forehead

War Stories Mal & Wash - initial torture and electrocutions, both show signs of beating Mal - left ear cutoff by Victor Mal - torture device to chest by Victor Mal - dies Jayne - shot in left abdomen by skyplex security Zoë - shot in right arm by skyplex security Mal - choked by torture device cable by Victor

Trash Jayne - knocked unconscious by electrical shock from trash bin
