I saw this on the top 100 baby names of '06:
For girl names, Kaylee was 21 and Zoe was 30. Shiny!

ARCADIA

Okay, first, a namenerd comment (since a hobby of mine is following naming trends in the US): This list is completely inacurrate.

One, we've still got a good month of '06 left.

Two, where are the hispanic names? Jose, Angel, Juan, Luis, Carlos, Jesus, Jesse, Miguel, Maria, and Sofia didn't just drop out of the top 100 in one year.

Three, no way Jordan (this spelling only) is still that popular as a girls name. It was 48 in 04' and 86 in 05'. For '06, it would probably fall around... himm... I'll go somwhere between 84-90. It's dropping pretty quick.

And I could go on and on, but I'll spare you...

One cool thing about Kaylee and Zoe is that they are both names with multiple spellings. Kaylee, especially. Therefore. they are probably a lot more popular than lists would lead you to think that they are. Kaylee with all the spellings combined is probably somewhere between the mid-teens and mid-twenties as far as popularity goes.

Arcadia (aka Greyfable and/or Katie)
